But he was one of our best players in the Wolves game.

To drop someone after a good performance sends a bad message. Zouma should earn his place in the team.

I'd personally start Keane and Holgate.

Mina out with slight foot injury.
Holgate or Zouma to play tomorrow.
On Bernard ... all new players have to prove they are ready to play.
Looking forward to the Goodison atmosphere but knows the team are responsible for helping create a positive one.
Still working on moving players like Bolasie and Besic out as he knows they need to be playing.
Gomes could be anything from 1 to a few weeks away with a slight hamstring injury.
Will continue to make the squad stronger and wants to be able yo make difficult decisions.
Have to play at a fast pace to break Southampton down.

What was his logic for that?

Can only assume he believes we are weaker given the management change.

Respectfully, he’s got a point given Silva’s still working on implementing his tactics.

However after the result against Wolves with 10 men the players will be up for this especially at home. It’s early days but Silva has injected some positivity in the old guard so hopefully we can build some momentum and deliver perm head a good old fashioned hiding.

We look to have more options available this weekend which will be nice should we need to be flexible and mix it up tactically against Soton.

Is what i think it'll probably be like, although didn't sound heopeful on bernard being on the bench. That's a good bench for getting up to the pace of the PL though.
