Ben Arfa looks some kind of player, a class above in attack today, our players will have to get used to playing with someone with such an array of skills. Great full debut for Tiote, looks a very handy player and just what we've needed in our midfield.

Nervous moments for us at the end, with a very good block from Williamson, but overall IMO a deserved result.

I thought you played better and beat us to every 50/50 ball.

In short, Newcastle looked and played like they wanted it more and it showed. You absolutely deserved this result.

I'm still sure if he had a partner up there he'd be alright.

However everything else you say is spot on.

I've nearly, very nearly had enough.

He doesnt need a partner. Some of his runs were great today, it has to be said.

What he needs is a Van Der Vart, Arshavin, Rosicky, Modric, Wilshire, Scholes, Lampard, Fabregas type player that threads balls through defences for him to run on to.

Our system is all wing play and a striker who can hold the ball up. When neither of them happen...we have NOTHING.

Beckford doesnt fit the system. Full. Stop.

I will be very suprised if you don't stay up. Got a boss striker in Carrol, along with Barton , Ben Arfa, Routledge and Nolan. Think you will be fine this season.

Decent defensive effort from collocini and enrique, though williamson struggled and certainly did a couple of errors, he got by. Perch is a walking sack of useless crap - everything he did was ugly.

Ben Arfa certainly had class. Tiote nice and confident. Carroll amazes me, gotta see him in an england shirt. Nolan is IMO overrated and unrefined, like Barton, though i'd admit they have their moments.

Overall, fair play for going to Goodison and winning. Though i'm holding it more as our error than your merit.

I'd rather have him on the middle than Hetinga. You may not get loads of skill from him, but at least you get desire and passion from him. Something which is sorely lacking in our team right now.
