You really are dim aren't you? I agreed that 10th without be signings seemed a reasonable estimate as, once again, other clubs will not stand still. I also stated that I don't think we will finish 10th because we will likely make a small number of signings and so we are likely to consolidate that 7th or 8th spot. As I have also said, the predictions of the likes of you and me are meaningless as we are amateurs posting on an Everton forum and have no real insights.

I'm sorry that these positions are seemingly impossible for you to grasp but I really don't know how to make them any clearer for you.

To be honest, we need two high quality players really. Central defender and an atracking winger with pace and i will be happy.

Leftback would be good but we can go with Baines till the Winter window.

Think I'd rather CB and LB if I had to pick.

Think we'll get three myself. Those two, and then either a midfielder or forward/winger.

I think they'd target Alisson as a priority, though.

What 'proven' keeper?

Honestly, there aren't really that many out there. There's Oblak who is genuinely World Class, that's it. I don't think Atleti will sell given they're going hard on getting to the CL final this season given it's at their ground.

Alisson has exactly the same amount of experience that Pickford does really, apart from the Champions League. He wasn't close to a regular until last season and is only a year older than Pickford.

I don't think Pickford will be going anywhere. But it wouldn't surprise me if Chelsea did make a move.
