With the deadline fast approaching (three weeks on Friday) can someone please tell me when the official fume starts.

I wanna get well stocked up on bleach, tramadol and spice.

Thanks in advance, BB.

Based on previous windows, it just builds until the window slams shut, you might think with a week to go it has peaked, but oh no, there is more fume to be had. Sometimes even if we sign players, it has very little effect on the fume.
We haven't even identified this windows "Mata", "Moutinho" or "Yarmalenko" yet, there is so much fume to be had :D

My only worry is that our outgoings are considerably smaller than most clubs in the PL. I wonder is this because Brands AND Silva wanted to analyse the players close up before deciding on a recruitment plan?

People on here thinking we need 20 new players when reality is we need to strengthen in key areas.

Left-back ✔️
Central Defence ✔️
Creative Midfielder ✔️
Attack ✔️

Silva and Brands do not know what they have to work with. They may see or can work with a player who hasn't been given the right chance or coaching to aid the squad.

Prime example is Lookman - played a little under Koeman but then bombed out by 3 managers before going on loan where he did well.

Brands and Silva know his ability but is his mentally and commitment right for Everton. Man-management is key to this team and Koeman and Fat Sam didn't do that.

Silva might see he need to do more for the team rather then improve his individual performance because whether you like it or not, Lookman hasn't set the league alight, he has done alright in bits but maybe he needs to work on being a better teammate.

Now we don't know Lookman's personally so he might think he is bigger then a bit part or feel he has more to offer.

So no matter what players have done what last season, we have to give them the opportunity to fight for their place.

But Williams can go x

It’s about the balance, looks like to me that Silva also likes to dominate possession. So players like dowell will be important.

No good having players who run all day and press, If they are giving the ball away. Basically defeats the object.
Just doubt he has the physicality for the Prem,as I said ,hope I'm wrong he looks a talented player.

I’d be very surprised if we signed anymore than 3, maybe 4.

We need players who are ready to propel us further up the table, not squad fillers - we are overloaded with them already.

A left back is a priority.
A centre half will become a priority once Williams or Jagielka, possibly both, are shown the door.
I do believe we need a winger who is next level, not Dowell, Lookman, Bolasie.
We certainly need another No.9 to take the heat off Tosun when Niasse gets emptied & DCL goes on loan.

We have MS, TD, IGG, GS, BB to play central midfield and we need to shift Besic.

There’s still surgery to be done & quite a bit.

I think we will finish 8th or better this season because I think we will sign a small number of players in key positions. If we don't then there is a real risk that we will finish lower because, yes, other teams will improve and they will be better than us.
You literally said some teams below us have strengthened and improved and will threaten our position so name them and a reason why they’re a threat.

Wasn’t exactly a complicated question but dodge with waffle all you like.
I literally didn't, I literally said that they will and I literally said (twice) that neither you nor I could predict who they would be. I have literally inserted the relevant quotes to assist you with your comprehension as you are literally not very bright.

You also agreed with the opening poster I replied to about us finishing 10th with no new signings to please make your mind up.

So, are you saying we will finish 8th with departures from the squad and with no additions? Because if you are then that makes two major assumptions, the first being that the teams around us will not improve and the second being that the players we are left with won't decline in ability in that time frame. They seem like big assumptions to me and @Sir Alan 's prediction of 10th seems pretty reasonable in my opinion.

Thankfully, I think we will sign a small number of new players and this conversation will be moot.

I literally hate it when people put literally in front of everything. My kids literally do it all the time and it literally does my head in.
