I'm very interested to see what's going to happen with Sandro. I was massively in favour of signing him, £5m seemed like the bargain of the century for the player he looked like he was/could become at Malaga.

I don't know what went wrong last season, I thought Koeman was a fool for throwing a young player, new to English football, upfront on his own from the start but that doesn't explain his lack of control or passing ability.

I wonder if Silva sees something in him. At Hull he made it his speciality of getting players completely bereft of confidence and game time playing well so maybe that could happen here too.

Only from watching Revista La Liga on sky the previous season. He was easy to remember because of some worldy free kicks he would score every few weeks. He looked quite quick too and an accomplished finisher, none of which we've witnessed here.

I'm obviously not a very good scout lol

Watched a lot of him here, your not alone I though he looked decent too,but then looking back I think I was the first one on the forum to mention Deulofeu was a prospect after seeing him play for Barcelona B.

I think he will come good this season. No-one will touch him with those wages (£120k pw) so we might as well keep him as back-up to Cenk & Niasse.

Of all Steve Walsh's cock-ups (of which there are many) I don't blame him for the Sandro transfer, even when you factor his wages into account which are allegedly quite high.

£5m for a 21 year old ex Barca youth product who'd just scored 16 goals for a side who were terrible (I think they went down this year) was a heck of a deal imo.

Sometimes transfers just don't work out. The major worry moving forwards I think is why he continued to struggle in Seville.
