Exit door.

Who would we be left with then? Apart from some very promising youngsters, yes, but they or most were on the bench this time last year, and when injuries suspensions come into play, experience is the key. See this time last year up to November.

Most players we would have to try and buy in now, would all want first team football, possibly high tranfer fee and a hefty wage.....to sit on the bench?

Also, it's not Champ Man. I don't think we can just say advertise these players on the transfer list without causing too much of an issue with the remaining squad etc...In a perfect world if high bids came in for these players, perhaps they should be considered

Chuck em in the deep end, watch em swim.

Or we'll end up with ten bench hugging wage suckers.

I find it seriously embarassing when people talk about 'getting rid' of players with no real substance. Why get rid?! We need a squad not just a bare 11.

If you dont rate players thats fine, but we need more quality in before we 'get 'rid' makes us sound like a two bit club.

Only 2 i wouldnt mind see go now, Hibbert and the Yak, we have enough cover at right back and Moyes could work his magic before the window shuts to get someone in to compensate for yaks loss.
Reckon it might be too late to find a replacement at centre half so would keep hold of what we have there.

Yes below I list plyers I would dearly love for them to be shown the exit door. I am not being sentimental either over years of service but am concerned in my view they are not upto the standard we need. Many will jump on me for this for sure so be it and I will end up on more ignore lists.

The players:-

Hibbert

Neville

Distin

Osman

Yobo

Yak

Saha

I know some will say they can still do a job well I can still eat my cheese as it is only one day from it's past use date does not mean it is that good. There will be cries of weakening the squad. I do not see it that way, to me it is casting adrift deadwood. When I see at the start of each of our games some of these players in the starting lineup or even on the bench, I shudder and dread the result.

I honestly think we will not be able to thoroughly progress until the manager stops using these players.

yeh dismantle the squad.......it's only the best we've had in over 20 years.

OMG why are there threads like this? Everyone already knows the answer! Sell everyone and by The Mout.

YES?

My work here is done :coffee:

Typical cannot see the point or you have not read the thread in full. These players IMO are not good enough and are holding us back. How can you say in relation to these particular players they are the best we have had in 20 years, what counts is now and looking forward. So you are saying we should keep all these players on? but for how long?

Just a week in and players are getting a get out rant.

Not what I expected, specially seeing Yak and Neville on that list.

No way would we get 6 million for Osman IMO and Hibbert would be a max 1 M worth

The fee figure you mention reflects on them as not being much cop. We have had this discussion for the last season or two especially on Hibbert and Osman, and we know Dsitn was a panic buy. Are you a Neville fan then?

I'm a huge Neville fan. i'll keep him at the club even till he's 37 or something. He wouldn't be in the first team but his impact would be massive.

Distin will let us down some time this season. I am damn sure on that, most likely conceading cheap pen when he can't deal with a strikers pace.

Billy should be a regular starter now ahead of Osman. He has a cracking left foot so even he has a poor game,he would have lesser poorer games than Osman and would be in with a shout for a 25 yard cracker the whole 90 min
