Which senior seasoned experienced players do you think have been so much better than these young lads, maybe we should send schneiderlin out on loan or Rooney to the championship, quite interested who has been so much better than these lads who have been available?

They have been no better or worse but as you say they are seasoned pros. They need replacing whereas DCL and Davies need loaning because youth is on there side so therefore have a chance.

I actually said in my post that I don't really have an issue with young players getting criticised if you bothered to read it properly, although, having said that, I do believe they should be given a bit more leeway than the older experienced players. Sadly, most of our fans are of the same opinion of you which is probably one of the main reasons we are not able to hold on to them in the event they do break through.

I also said that both Davies and DCL shouldn't be getting so much game time, simply because they are not ready yet to be regular starters. Both should be rotating players, starting the odd game but mainly being introduced form the bench. Our youngsters are being badly managed at the moment IMO, with the likes if Davies and DCL being overused and Baningime, Vlasic, Lookman and Holgate being used nowhere near enough.

My main issue is with people writing these players off as never being good enough for us. How the hell do they know that?

I note what you say about loaning him/them out. Wouldn't disagree with that provided it's to a similar standard, i.e Premier, German or French first divisions. Having played so much in the premier already they will learn absolutely nothing going down to the championship. It isn't game time they need. It's the opportunity to play with against quality players that will develop them to the next level. Personally I would prefer to manage that ourselves by having them as part of our squad, but not as regular starters until they have proved themselves capable.

Like I have said earlier I don't believe it would be beneficial to loan to a PL club because I don't think they would get much game time because of the current standard of them. They do without doubt need to go somewhere and given plenty of game time to carry on learning and hopefully improve and that would be very beneficial to us. I also disagree with people wanting shut because as you said they are still youngsters learning but on the other hand can understand the outcry that they are not good enough. Time is on there hands and we as a club should not be reliant on them and should be able to nurture them rather than throw them in the deep end. Some youngsters thrive by being thrown into the deep end as did DCL and Davies initially but they have been found wanting this season. I still have high hopes but would rather not see them again this season.

Our midfield is very very poor, poor combinations, lack of craft and can’t act as a bridge also not the bravest midfield in the world.

I like Tom he should be given bits and bobs of games to develop though.

Tom looked short of confidence today and has struggled recently. I reckon he needs a rest now after what has been a tough season for him. Perhaps we should remind ourselves he’s still a teenager.

Maybe Klaassen should be given an opportunity now.

He already had one in the middle of season. I wonder how many rests he needs in a season.

He's just a bit warn out. His decision making isn't great at times, but he's the only box to box player we have. Assuming we finally get a good #8, he's be a great sub / backup while he develops.

He’s not worn out.

If you watch the games this season without blue tinted glasses you’ll see he doesn’t do much other than run around a lot.

Gives the ball away to the opposition a significant number of times throughout the games.

Yes he’s young but utlitmatley his performances aren’t good enough currently. He should be a bit part sub not a starter.

It’s probably an indication of how poor our midfield is that he gets game time.

There’s a lack of real quality creativity and speed.

Of course. Bench player for now. He has to play though. He's the only player that can carry the ball in the midfield at all.

Was it his flick to spring Baines?

Here’s my response from yesterday that will help answer your query.

Surprised to see Davies’ name mentioned in your match report. Apart from the combination in the 77th, what did he do?

The next manager really needs to take a long hard look and do the best for both player and club.

has plenty of energy so in an ideal world works best as a harrier that gets the ball back and immediately hands it off to a more creative player

any time he tries to make things happen it seems to go wrong

will come good yet
