No, it's really not. His job is usually to play wing. Part of that includes providing service to our center forward(s). He can't help it if they don't finish. He also shouldn't have to provide a ton of cover for his back - whether they are playing like a full back or not - but he does if he's playing on the left. Not really his fault if he has to do that more than get forward.

But this idea that he's out there to score goals if he's asked to stay on the touchline is just ridiculous. How many goals are scored wide of the 18?
Are you really suggesting that one of the three attack minded players we pick should be exempt from having to actually score goals? And from doing any defending? So basically we've spent £28m on someone to do a couple of stepovers and sling the odd ball into the box? Oh mate, i'm really not sure football is the game for you.

ANY player I would bring in would have to be a good lad and be fully committed.

So many of our recent purchases have just come for the €€.

No spirit.

Nzonzi is everything schneiderlin should be

He is. Much better passer, but gets forward (part of that is due to scheme) and makes himself dangerous all over the place. He could play with Gana no problem, too. He and Gana going back and forth all over the place, pushing N'Zonzi forward...it would be really tough to break us down. You could then sit Rooney or Siggy a bit farther back and let the wide players get up field more. It would be wonderful.

I don’t know about wonderful but would definitely improve us

First of all, you don't get to just label him and anyone else as an "attacked minded player". That's complete garbage. Players play roles within tactics and he's being asked to play as a true winger. So, no, he isn't going to score many goals. That's the position. I cannot help it if you don't understand the difference between that and what Walcott is being asked to do or what an inside forward does versus a winger.

It's like blaming Gana for not scoring more goals. Or blaming Sigurdsson for not holding the ball. No manager in their right mind would ask them to do those things and they are still fantastic players. Asking Yannick to score goals is just dumb. Ask him to run at guys, occupy the sideline, pull players to his side, provide good service to the CF, and run like a maniac all game.

He certainly runs like a maniac.
I was never a fan and still not, while we can argue that he doesnt score enough goals, or 2/3 goals a season for a wide attacker costing 28mil is ok for some.

If he’s not a player who scores many goals. he should have other strong parts to his game, like constantly beating the full back and putting dangerous crosses in. Or being technically very good, being clever with his passes and his movement. Or keeping the ball really well and hardly loosing it.

Sadly he does none of the above. Shocking buy, let’s hope we can get some mug to give us some money back in the summer.

A few names i think we should be looking at around europe, you probably know who they all are, but these players have a high ceiling, are at the right age to improve and will feel that moving to everton is big for them.

Steven Bergwijn - Feyernoord - Winger - Not a top priority with the possibility of Dowell, Lookman and Onyekuru aswell as Walcott and (cough) Bolasie. But could be the next big thing if we feel the loan lads arent up to the job

Leander Dendonker - Anderlecht - Defender/Midfielder - Strong, good on the ball, aggressive, and can play in a couple of positions, ideal to replace Schneiderfraud

Olivier Ntcham - Celtic - Midfielder - Been impressed everytime ive seen him, we could be well stocked in that centre mid if we decide to give Klaassen a go, or buy Dendonker, but worth a look at

Aaron Martin - Espanyol - LEFT BACK - In all honesty ive never heard of him until he was linked but he fits the criteria of young, potential, and would want to move here, oh and hes a left back

Malang Saar - Nice - Left Back/Centre Back - Same as above but he can also play centre back if needed which means we wouldnt need 54 centre halfs in the squad

Ben Gibson - Middlesbrough - Centre Back - Linked wit hArsenal and City but very much doubt either would go for him, has prem experience, on the verges of the england set up and could want the move if Boro dont come back up

Benjamin Henrichs - Bayern Leverkusen - Centre Back - Already capped for Germany at centre back, it would be a long long shot as this kid will be the biz but go for him first and if it dosent work go for Gibson

I feel we have missed out on the likes of De Vrij, Werner, Bailley, Milenkovic-Savic etc as all the big boys will be sniffing around them, i feel this is the way forward we should be going, as said, buying all of them would be nuts, but atleast 2 or 3 would be a good summer
