Fikret Orman (pres. of Besiktas) commented on the transfer of Cenk to Everton.
He said Everton made an offer but nothing is finalized yet. Also he mentioned that a Chinese club bid €35m for Cenk earlier but it was not accepted because Cenk is a valuable player and his opinions matter to him (meaning Cenk didn't want to go to China). On the bright side this means EFC's offer doesn't necessarily need to be higher than 35M, but it should be close.
So knowing the pres. what I am reading from this is:
Besiktas can sell Cenk anytime for a good fee. He is in no hurry.
Cenk definitely wants to play in EPL and he prefers Everton.
EFC bid was good but not enough, it should be higher.
Walsh had a meeting with the vice pres. earlier but there was no agreement.
Reports claiming there was an agreement but then he raised the price is not true.
Also, he is set to travel to London today for further negotiations with EFC. We will see what happens

but be aware because he almost always gets what he wants.
