Thought Mass Effect one was great, two was OK, but three was Call of Duty corridor shooting and poor all round. The ending simply showed that they had no idea where they were going with the story all along, which explains the massive deterioration in quality as the series progressed.

Just finished Mass Effect 3, logged about 50hrs doing just about every single side-quest.
Overall it's absolutely stunning.

Now, about the ending....

Been back on Mass Effect 3, since I only need to finish it on Insanity to have got every achievement on all 3. Definitely the hardest of the 3 on the hardest settings, I breezed through 1 & 2 with imported characters and weapons and experience. 3 they massively ramped up the challenge mainly because the enemies are smarter and the maps allow them quite often to flank me!

The story is still brilliant though, get far too emotionally involved in character driven games...

Mass Effect is the best series of games ever made.

Dunno if its been mention on here before.
The Mass Effect trilogy was, for my money, the best series of the previous generation.
Looking forward to Andromeda..

Nah.. I acutally really liked the ME3 ending as its open to plenty of interpretation, which I felt was fitting for such a sprawling, opened-ended saga. I don't think it ruined either the game or the series as a whole. Much more Kubrick than Spielberg.

I remember the mass effect games with great fondness. Except the last one, as you needed to have played on line multiplayer to get a good single player ending. If that makes sense. I never finished it because of that

What made Mass Effect great for me was the science-fiction story element and the great plot-twists. Always enjoy sci-fi RPG's. I enjoy games that are part of the particular universe; so I'll also probably enjoy the new ME.

For me, if the original trilogy were the Star Wars original movies, Andromeda is The Phantom Menace.

Finally did the trilogy earlier this year. Up there will my all-time favourite gaming experiences, with an ending that gave me the existential chills, namely because
I went for synthesis then later learned of the indoctrination theory...and I'm convinced...the bastards fooled me and it felt epic. I think what happened is that certain writers and designers put the indoctrination theory into the game but the chiefs found it too dark and wanted it out, hence it not being the official interpretation. There's deffo too many clues in the game for it to be a coincidence.

Loved ME1's free discovery aspect, gobbling up all the codex, was disappointed in the first half of ME2 but my god it half picked up, amazing final mission. I lost my
favourite Tali via a swarm of bats, she was loyal but Miranda forming our protective shield wasn't...ffs!
. ME3 was the best overall, superb puzzle-action gameplay on insanity level. Those banshees! ME3 also had one of the great scenes of gaming drama: the threeway conversation between Shephard, Anderson and Illusive Man, or rather
the conversation in your own head.

Only the ending of SOMA gives me similar chills...any sci-fi games come close to these in terms of deep story and vivid world atmosphere? ME Andromeda was pants, they should've have officially went with the
indoctrination theory and made a ME4 where he wakes up in the rubble.

It's only really Nintendo I collect.
Not everyone's cup of tea, granted.
But sometimes I buy stuff never to play.
Sad git.

Look after that gun btw.

Aye I mean I do buy boxed stuff whenever I can - so I have a boxed MultiTap for the SNES as well, for example - so I do like the aesthetic, but I rarely buy bad games/items for the sake of having the item.

It's usually the bad games that keep the value oddly.
I stick to major brand characters, Mario, Zelda etc.
I'm always keen on releases on consoles that are coming to an end as obviously less produced.
I hammered the Nintendo stars points stuff as well.
I did flog a load of sealed Pokemon stuff for massive money when Pokemon Go became popular a while back to.

Finally finished the main story in The Witcher 3. Absolutely brilliant game, though I still like the first two games even better (I'm sure I'm the only person ever that does). Cant wait to play the DLCs.

8/10
