A few thoughts after last night...
Koeman has to be given the time and he will be and it will take time, as someone said on the stream I watched last night
to clear out the aged, and the ageing.
Davies could be captain in three years time, Holgate a fixture and D C-L playing regularly alongside Rom or another top striker and with Ross and/or another playmaker (aka Fabregas) pulling all the strings... But, a classy, top quality goalie is of paramount importance.
Seen enough of Enner Valencia now, thanks. He has a good heart, good energy, scares no-one.
Rather nice to see Mirallas running purposefully at defenders again.
Davies will (surely) be in all the while Gana's gone to the Afcon.
One essential thing right now though is to identify a captain who the team, the fans, the whole club can identify as someone who visibly (gives a **** ) cares about the standards and expectations on the pitch in an evolving team.
With nothing but respect it cannot be Jags or Barry going forward.
Of this squad it should be Coleman as we need what he shows for the RoI... a fist-clencher, a badge kisser.
Visible pride cos in the end all season that hasn't been there.
Once we woke up last night, in patches we played okay.
