Dave's wind ups were more fun when they were a little more subtle. Recently they've veered too much into self parody, which is a real shame. Such potential there.

It was. But if you get a job off the back of a promise that you fail to deliver on (and appear to be falling further away from on a daily basis) then you shouldn't expect to keep said job.

He defo needs to go but not before the cup games, get rid at the end of the season.

Hopefully he will leave with a 'thanks for winning the cup, but Villa need you mate' handshake.

If they want to come back up I think they should look elsewhere.

Agreed with this thinking, but we've looked so utterly bereft of ideas in last two games that I now reckon our best (only) chance of winning the Cup is to make a change now.

It won't happen (now or probably even in the summer, imho) but it should.

West Ham and Utd are good teams, it's going to be a hard game no matter who is in charge. The pressure on a new manager to win that game so early into his reign would be ridiculous.

An injury ravaged United with a teenage front three did the double over us, yet some were acting as though we'd won the cup once we got past Chelsea. Ridiculous chicken counting, but like how some proclaimed 'our name is on this cup' after a league cup QF win over a championship side. Embarassing. Winning the FA cup would be great but last time I checked you don't get the pot for being 'nailed on' after your QF. If United beat West Ham we're not even favourite for the semi let alone the cup.
