Why's it stupid, stupid boy, 54 games, last season and this season so far, it's our league form over a long period, 31.5% won.

The need for new personnel is clear, it's almost embarrassing bringing on Gibson or Naismith or somebody whilst claiming to be top four contenders. However something also needs to be done about our inability to defend corners or crosses, otherwise will continue to drop points and finish mid-table

I know you did. It was a timely intervention. But surely you cant see this season as a continuation of that second season fiasco? I refuse to believe you do. You see how we're playing, you see the goalscoring, you see the cup run, you see us in the table standing at 6th currently.

We need back to back wins and everything is topped off nicely.

Question: do you think this is the most talented team we've had for decades? Well that surely underlines progress doesn't it?

It's not progress as every side bar Villa and Newcastle have improved even Sunderland have the likes of Mvila who was linked with us and arsenal a few years back. You can have Ronaldo and messi in your team but if you finish 10th it's underachieving with said team.

No point playing as good in the first half if we play as bad in the 2nd.

Without their blue tinted specs on, very, very few people really believe that.
The reality is we're top six contenders, and that's what Martinez should be measured against.

Yes. We under performed last season, if we do so again this season you have to wonder...

Bizarre really reading some posts....

I look at the keeper and see we need major improvement...look at Mori and see a new player adapting and improving (on top of several defensive injuries)...

Midfield we have Kone who needs upgrading and a top class centre midfielder to come in to take the quality up a notch...then we have Lukaku with zero competition.

Clear to me Martinez needs January for one or two additions...by the summer they should have settled in and Mori should have adapted.

Add the others in the summer if available then a season playing together and we should be laughing....

Honest to God mate, when you look at it it's spectacular entitlement behaviour that we hate "that lot" for.

We were away to another PL club FFS, we leathered them in the first half and ran out of ideas second half. We're handily placed in the PL, still in both cups, and playing the best we have for decades.
