Baines was injured for large parts of his first seaso wasn't he? That coupled with Lescotts form at LB meant he couldn't get a game.

I think Moyes sees Neville in Midfield, so Naughton would only have to compete with Hibbert (and Coleman if he comes good)(y)

Aye mate, even when he was over his injuries he struggled to get back back in the team, started last season on the bench and only for a Joey Yobo injury in the new year he could still be sitting there compared to being an England international. Same could be said of Jags it took him a while also to get in the team.

What i am saying is perspective is needed, i like Naghton in fact i said i wanted himbefore we bid for him but lets not fool ourselves he is potential not a Prem player yet. I would be very confident in saying he probably wont get in the team ahead of Neville (who i hope will be at RB next season) and Hibbert. I see him as one for the future who could be blooded now.

Just some perspective is needed we are trying to sign a young player with potential, not somone whos going to take us to the next level this season.

I think we will have bigger fish to fry.

Get your point but the only time I normally post stuff like that is when everyone starts getting excited about an imminent signing and we're on 67 pages of people wanking each other off.

Bursting bubbles is a speciality of mine :)

The 'mostly bollocks' bit is your perogative mate but it's usually from the horses mouth, ie Larsson, Moutinho and Naughton

Thing is though Barlow - they have all been too easy to say. None have been against the grain really have they?

Your mate in Portugal who knows Moutinho wont sign on deadline day.
Your mate who knows Larsson saying he won't come.
And now your mate who knows Naughton - saying he will come to us (when the media favoured this line), soon as the wind changes in the media, hes saying hes off to Spurs...

It was the facebook bit that done it for me. "oh yeah, he said Everton fans want him on facebook but Spurs fans dont". That was on other forums a good few hours before you said it here.

Forgive me but am skeptical but dont let that stop you in future. To be fair, if your being honest then your only passing on information. Each to their own and all that.
 
I pain too at the meltishness going on in this thread too but adding to it only encourages further whopperism mate.

If he signs then sound, if he doesnt then he'll turn out at gash at Spurs and regret not coming to us. Its Science.

We'll sign someone else ace then do all sorts of boss stuff next year and people will still want Kenwright out.

Why would he want to ruin a career that hasn't even started properly yet? The chances of exactly that happening at Spurs are enormous. As said, still confident he'll be an Everton player in the end. If it was Villa who were interested, I probably wouldn't be this confident.

If Barlows Boots info, proves to be correct though, I think there's only one party losing out, and that's not Everton. The revolution started by Moyes won't be falling down, by a 20 year old declining our offer. So can't say I'm overly concerned, I just wish they got it over and done with. One way or another.

Like you said, I am only passing on info from sources close to said players. The facebook thing is waht I was told by my mate from Naughton too, I don't read any other forums...

All I simply do is when I hear about a player being linked with us I try and find out from mates who I know have links to the said player(s). If I don't know anyone, I don't post
I work in an idustry where people are close to many footballers so access is sometimes just a quick phonecall

RE Cana, Defour, Rasmus, Delph etc, I don't know anyone who may know them, hence no 'news' from me

Sorry if I upset people by posting what I have but like most things on here DSTM!

Part of a post on Kipper

Walker is at spurs today to complete before he flies off to England U 19s and Kyle Naughton will be going for a medical tommorow ( sunday ) I asked if Everton came in and matched spurs offer before he goes down what would he do, he basicly said to little to late.
I also showed him this site and thread which he was impressed with, along with his facebook loads of Everton fans wanting him to come to us, he said theres been nothing from spurs fans !
