Could be like transfer deals...no one announces anything till its already signed and sealed, clubs arent really allowed to say anything.

The FA are clamping down on new investors by putting them through the mill and seeing if they've really got the funds to control a club, going through their credentials with a fine tooth comb.

I still say its nothing. But that could be a reason why no-one has confirmed or denied.

Also with regards the club's response, They don't necessarily have to tell the truth, only what is in the best interests of the club...

But why should they go out and lie? Would only make us fans not believe them when they tell the truth in some other matter. We'd think they lie then as well. Better to keep silent, no matter how irritating it is.

Why should we have denied it? Very, very few of the reports specifically mention us. If we should deny it, then so should every single club in the prem.

True, I'm imagining if they were under pressure and had to give some sort of response, spilling the beans could jeapordise a deal perhaps. So I agree that silence is probably the best policy

Didn't Ross deny the Ambani deal last year? That was probably made up, but the club went out there way to deny it.

But like Brownie points out, the Ambani rumour had Everton's name splashed all over the press.

As I've said, we'll know what club it is either tomorrow or later in the week when UAE announce it in a press conference.
