Both him and Van Persie look done with Rooney not far behind.

I think they sold their best forward.
Coming across so bitter its painful. Lvg gone in summer? No improvement in their play? Welbeck better than rvp/falcao/rooney on back of hattrick vs bloody galtasary? Lol.

Go sleeep have a lie down. Our fixtures get easier. Imo they'll compete for title. I know we like to think our team is better than theres but its not and its nowhere near in terms of talent. They were missing carrick/herrera/rooney/jones all 4 would start too.

Anyway as lvg in their recent games theyve tended to fade so how much we can take out of it i dont know they seem gassed after 70mins.

A few observations:

1) The amount of blame coming Howard's way for Falcao's goal was a bit surprising to me. Yeah, hoof it out, but our defense had plenty of time and ability to contain the subsequent attack. They didn't and Howard gets slated. That didn't make a lot of sense to me, especially with the benefit of hindsight. No one said a squeak about Stones leaving him onside. Howard's been poor this season but I didn't think that goal was all on him.

2) Lukaku. He was taking massive amounts of "abuse" on Twitter during the match. Look, I get it, he's not back up to speed yet and not anywhere close to where he was last year. But some of the tweets were like "I can't believe we wasted money on this guy, etc.., etc..." These were the same people who were happy as heck that he came here on a permanent. Yeah, he has to work on his first touch as well as other issues but to put all the blame on him is ludicrous. No Barkley, no Mirallas, etc... easy to focus on him. It'll come but geez, Evertonians have absolutely NO patience with players.

3) Naismith. Well taken goal.

4) Baines. Just smash it son. Just smash it.

5) DeGea. Got your team three points when you probably should have had none.

6) Martinez. No Eto'o? Really? Osman instead?

7) Osman. Fair play to him, almost scored and did very well when he came in. I think he should only be used as a late game sub or starter in minor cup matches.

8) Hibbert. Solid match again from him. Surprising? Not sure.

9) Pienaar. Wasn't ready for this match so not surprisingly, took a lot of slating from the "supporters."

10) McGeady. Not a good day.

11) Besic. Good day. Getting better.

12) NO Barkley, Mirallas, McCarthy, Kone, now Stones? Good times huh?

You forgot to add Coleman to your list of the crocked. Missing four starters - Mirallas, McCarthy, Coleman, Barkley (ok, maybe) - relying on unfit/out of form players (Pienaar, Lukaku) or inexperienced but promising players (Besic, Browning, Stones...I love Stones but he does make mistakes), and playing four of the strongest sides (Chelsea, Arsenal, Man U, Liverpool)...it all adds up to testing times. We've lost our pacy counter-attacking and it shows.
But we've lost twice, thrown away victories and generally been in games. How boring would it be if we were just winning games?
Totally with you on how sad it is to see some of the negative stuff. They should watch some videos of the 90s. Now that deserves negative stuff.

the play from Both mcgeady and pienaar was awful today. I get that lukaku hasn't been great but he's getting no support at all. For the life of me I can't understand how you have someone that big and strong but so rarely get crosses in for him. Is it not having mirallas or does Bobby just not want to play that way?

Pretty sure it's all been covered over the last 100 or so pages but considering who was out yesterday, we did well.

Deffo deserved a point and if it were not for 2 great saves at the death we would have got it.

Hopefully Stones isn't too serious but It looked nasty.

Besic is already miles ahead of Gibson, I expect Cleverly to arrive next summer and Gibson to move on.

Really missing the drive of Barkley and Coleman, two players who are always looking to push on. We are far to slow getting the ball forward without them.

Howard? I was fuming yesterday with his shitarse clearance that threw everything into disarray but he's still about the best we can have. Needs proper competition in Jan. Loan out Robles because he needs games.

Dissapointed with the result but think we have to keep in perspective. Travel, fatigue and injury played a big part and its just a part of football. Think Roberto was quoted to say "Victims of our own success".

Despite my normal quick lap around the anxiety pool when I saw Hibberts name on the team sheet, I thought he played well. Cut Di Maria off a few times and won us a penalty. If he goes through and somehow scores that, this place and Merseyside would be in meltdown.

Dissapointed in Pienaar. I know he isnt in fit but it seems all he wants to do is fall over and plead to the ref. The fact he just sat down and gave up annoyed me a little too. Added to the fact everytime the ball went near him he gave it away cheaply trying to be too tricky, took a bad touch or fell straight to the ground.

De Gea saved them just like Jags got us out last week. Osman was unlucky and Oviedo even more so.

The break couldnt come at a better time. Hopefully we get Barkley and Coleman back soon. Need them now then more then ever. Gutted for Stones. Been our best most composed player all season.

Pienaar was not fit and should not have been picked and mcgeady does not do it for me he is not fit enough or good enough to start.
Would have liked browning to have been given a start

The thing right now is that El Bob needs to tell all the back four and indeed the whole squad that in times of pressure on the defence, finding Row Z is acceptable if it buys a little time to compose themselves and get back into position.

I'm sure that if they're critical of themselves that both Jags and TH will wish now that they'd hammered the ball into touch rather than trying for the clearances they attempted that both backfired.

In general though we need to play with more pace, we need to try and play the ball ahead of the runner as much as possible rather than straight to feet or behind as invariably we tend to check and that loses momentum and forward direction.

I for one wasn't expecting much if anything from OT, but to miss a penalty and having had their 'keeper make two top class saves in the final ten minutes still leaves me with a somewhat bitter aftertaste. Di Maria apart, they were no better than average and we failed to get at them enough, particularly first half.

Mirallas isn't a crosser in the traditional sense but even if he was, Lukaku has yet to show he is much good in the air.

He looked all at sea both yesterday and at The Pit last week when he did manage to get on the end of some high crosses.

This season is like a merry go round that keeps on going and I'm a 7 year old kid who feels like I'm about puke everywhere...
Please somebody... Make it stop! I just wanna get off!:(
