We signed Izmailov from Russia and Vukcevic was there also. Vukcevic is 23, still learning but he had a clash with the manager which left him out of the side for a couple of months. The lad is hungry he just wanna play all the time. He doesn't mind playing anywhere, he just wants to be there. And he has such a will..amazing. Unfortunately we won't have enough money to keep him in the near future. His game is all about heart and passion.

Hes a big lad to isnt he, the match i saw him play for the national team he played up front, he actually didnt start he came on as a sub, i think that was in and around the time he wasnt getting into the sporting team. I remember that Bulgarian fella as well!

I was just thinking what a team you would have had if Sporting where able to hold on to their best players over the past few years!

Mate you're forgetting we're portuguese... so anything would always go wrong for us...:lol:

At one point we had

Lemajic (crappy goalie)
Nelson (played for Villa) Marco Aurelio(sold to Vicenza) Naybet(sold to Deportivo and played for spurs) and Paulo Torres (not a great player)

in the midfieldwe had

Paulo Sousa (two times CL winner) Peixe (just a lost soul) Figo (who?:P) Balakov (that genius I talked about it) Amunike (Olympic champion with Nigeria)

Upfront Cadete(went on to be Scotland's top goal scorer for Celtic)...


we didn't manage to win the championship...guess who the manager was...:rant:

Queiros, after the stupid chairman sacked Sir Bobby Robson when he was leading the table (probably the best manager we had in 30 years). We ended up in third, right after Porto who had signed...Bobby Robson.:blink:

Would you have a sense of how much Sporting would want for Mouthino mate and does that clause in his contract for a release fee for a certain date during the summer still apply!
