Why I stopped reading Toffeeweb.

I look at TW now and again and have read TM's letters. No question in my mind he is a true blue and just because he expresses views which are his own people let their blood pressure get carried away. The result is that they start ranting. If you don't like what some one says the obvious thing to do is ignore them. That is it.

Yes I go to the TW website mainly because I find it more confrontational than this site. When I have had enough of the rants on TW I know I can come over here and chill out !
Tony Marsh is mainly anti Moyes and, possibly, with good reason. We are about to offer Moyes more money than any of the players currently receive. And for what ?
We have so far this season been subjected to some of the most dire football imagineable. We are out of the Carling Cup and the UEFA Cup and have just the PL title and the F.A. Cup to strive for.
Moyes has STILL not signed the contract although he intimated that it could possibly be done before the Newcastle game. How long will it take for pities sake. I also heard that it may be signed today.
If Moyes will not sign the contract then I, personally, believe he should go. End of.

To be honest Bill I find Doddy a far bigger pain,unlike Tony Marsh who believes what he writes and whether you agree with him or not you can see where he comes from Doddy is like a PR for the board nothing is ever wrong St Bill has never lied,he even tried to make an excuse for the fortress fund fiasco,I would like to see the pair together it would be interesting,as for Richard it has been noted he has posted his opinion of the game he claims to be at while its still being played?.but Bill Do what I do go on there then when you come on here you appreciate the more respectful posters few on here have really turned ugly.

If you want to read good piece on everton go over to soccernet.com and read Tony Burns. He's back writing match reports after like a 6 month absence. He's a blue, not some phony wind up merchant.

Intelligent? Debatable.

Windup Merchant? Absolutely.

You can rest assured that if Everton pull themselves out of the mire, which they eventually will, he'll go missing for an extended period of time.

Every one of his articles are like this, as a few responders pointed out.

Is everything hunky dory with Everton FC right now? No, not at all. But to listen to this guy, you'd think that it's been this way since Moyes took over.

...but then this is a guy who "doesn't rate Pienaar..." and thinks Moyes was foolish for bringing Saha on board.

Well, i've not really read Toffeeweb since I got banned for my fervent oposition to their one sided "reports" opposing the Kirkby project. I was sent an email from Mr Kenrick no less demanding a public apology.

I did start to compose something then thought, you know, they're not more Everton than I am, so i've just given them the swerve.

The only good thing I can say about it is that the match reports and previews are normally great - as Kenwright said in London about the other owner "great writer, but he writes a lot of [Poor language removed]". The rest borders on paranoia and hatred and leads to a depressing read.

At least its better than the now (thank god) defunked Peoples Fundamentalist Forum.

Sorry if i'm dissing another site, but I'm glad that this subject has come up and I'm glad that I;m not a lone voice.

For what it's worth, I like the site. Plus, they're kind enough to link to this forum. It can be overly negative sometimes but that is its entitlement. Nobody has to read it.

I look at the main articles now and then.. they seem ok.

In the mailbag and forums sections I always found the constant interventions by one of the main guys (kenrick?) kind of neurosis ferocious.. like he resented everyone who made a post on the site..? weird.
