Moyes An His Contract.....

I'm telling you mate, Bill is the one holding things up. I don't think Moyes can get hold of it at the moment. He overplayed his hand in the summer and now with this terrible drop in form, Bill is altering some of the terms and conditions.

Sounds like your blaming Bill there mate.

To make that inference Nick, you would have to establish firstly that I believe there is something innately wrong in Bill holding the contract up. Like I said, I don't necessarily believe that to be the case. The assumption I made was that Moyes' stock had dropped slightly and Bill might, therefore, be looking at amending the contract to take that into account.

But Like Tad said, nobody knows for sure what is going on. We can only speculate. And seeing as this has dragged on and on, and on, and on, it is only natural that people do wonder what is really going on.

Well to be fair mate, what you said and what you are saying now is contradictory, but if you are going back on what you initially said and believe that it isn't Bill holding it up then fair enough.

Not really. I think you're just having trouble today linking sentences together. Read it again.

I have read it again, and it clearly states that you believe the reason the contract is not signed yet is because of Bill holding things up, for whatever reason may be, you believe Bill is holding things up.

I tell ya all something though lads, this must be the most complicated contract in history, I wonder just how many clauses, if's and but's there are in there. Would make interesting reading...or maybe not.

I'll bite on that. You claimed that I blamed Bill. In my post I say:

Now you show me where in that post I imply, or directly state, that Bill is responsible for something that I deem wrong. Because that's what "blame" means. It is a judgment passed at wrongfulness or similar.

The only judgment obvious to me is this bit:

He [Moyes] overplayed his hand in the summer and now with the terrible drop in form, Bill is altering some of the terms and conditions
You see here, I'm directly apportioning blame to Moyes for overestimating the strength of his position.

I have always believed you negotiate when you hold the cards,Moyes for whatever reason didn't and now Bills is holding them.

Just wasn't sure. The tone of your first post implies that Bill is at fault. But no worries - moving on.

I'll tell you who's to blame!!!!

That giant set of balls that turned up at the end of last season for testicle cancer.

He bollocksed everything up from there on and Moyes got scared! ;)

**i thank you**
