Neville or Hitzlsperger?

Hitzlsperger. Nothing against Neville, but the German is a decent player when given a run, with a top notch shot on him.

As I say, not gonna slate Nev but he's knocking on now.

Hitz is a good fotballer. I'd definitely keep him. Makes great backup and is probably cheap. As much as every hates on Neville I'll be a bit sad to see him go. He's been a good captain.

Hitz, not even debatable. The lad is a perfectly good midfielder with plenty of top level experience, as shown here:

Good cover for when Gibson is out, and i bet he's not on big wages.

forget Neville or Hitz....anyone who has taken the time to edit together a complete five minute video of an individuals competent midfield performance in an average premiership game, then set it to a wistful electronic soundtrack that makes it feel like we are watching an important moment in history, has exactly the mix of uncanny concentration, single minded determination and belief in the human spirit that I want to see in Everton's defensive midfielder

Hear hear!!

*throws hat in the air*

seriously don't see how anyone could pick neville in midfield over him, totally baffeling. regardless of his injury history

Didn't TheExecutionersBong write a blog on this issue showing that as gash as Neville is at some things it was his positioning and experience at dm that allowed other players in the team to play a better game than the indivdually better Hitzlesperger did?

That may be why Moyes plays him, or it may just be because he's his pet.
