That may be why Moyes plays him, or it may just be because he's his pet.

the position i always see neville in is the wrong one, he's suppose to be a deep lying midfielder, but i always see teams waltz striaght down the centre of our team, with one central midfielder in particular with half the pitch of space to run into

Hitz easy. I been wanting this guy to start for awhile. He's been mysteriously relegated to bench duty. I reckon he'll be even better next year for us, given the chance because of his ligament injury.

Hitz has probably been the most underutilized and Phill the most overutilized player this season

....I've not seen anything of Hitz that makes me think he's anywhere near good enough. I understand Moyes thinks he's a good pro and likes his influence around Finch Farm but I'd be amazed if that was enough to get him another contract. I'm a fan of Neville but the indication is that he wants to continue his playing careeer and if we progress next season his time on the pitch will be very limited.

Building a theory on Hitz, I reckon Moyes is keeping him around to gain an insight into the management practices of the managers he (Hitz) has played under and to get an idea of what top level international football and how it was managed is like.

Its the only reason I can see for him being kept on and not played.
