Voice of reason. For £3m I'd take him. We need options in midfield.

Chris Bascombe writes for the NOTW, he has alot of connections on Merseyide so there could be some truth in it. He did used to right for the Echo after all and is a Kopite.
To be honest my patience is running out, I've tried to be positive but every day is another day without transfers. We need atleast two players for the Blackburn game and they need to be able to come in and do a job straight away. Because we've left it so late they probably won't get any friendlies to gel.
We are a joke to be honest, a laughing stock. If Fletcher is prioirtiy we are [Poor language removed], no quesiton about it.
Im still not even a little bit concerned mate!![]()
I think we are prudent taking our time, im of the opinion that the palyers we want are CL standard and as such are waiting to see what options are available to them before comitting their future, beleive it or not we have just entered the second half of the window, which for us is the buissness end as those contempaiting their futures need to commit, i also think the type of players we are after are high end as such their clubs dont want to let them go like mouthino.
Im a great believer in History, i can remember only one season when we entered a new season with a weaker sqaud, and that particualr season we finished fourth. I know for a fact, and you heared it here first we will go into the new season with a stronger squad then last year. Poeple are just panicing.
Beisdies looking at our rivals im not to worried:
Pompey: have signed Coruch and lost Multari!
Villa: signed Sidwell, but have lost Mellberg, Bouma and likely to loose Barry.
Spurs: Have signed players, but have sold as many, they have lost Keane and are likely to loose Berbatov, and names like Rebrov still ring in my ears so ill wait and see how their signings pan out!
So our squad pound for pound with money in our pocket is as good as anyones, and with some of the young players coming through i think we are great shape and i have faith that our management team will get the RIGHT players! I just dont buy into the negative hype. Its was the same here last year mate, and the same on other forums years before that, every year there wrong!![]()
Last year we could put a starting eleven out and know it would be able to compete. This year we have injured players, players who are just coming back to fitness, young players who are very inexperienced and we've bought no one.
We can't even revert to 4-4-2, if we went with this squad to the Blackburn game Osman would have to play off Yakubu and we'd probably have Rodwell and Gosling in midfield. Talented lads yes but inexperienced at this level and could be overrawed by a team like Blackburn who are bullies.
Every other team also hasn't lost 7 players, we've lost Gravesen, McFadden, Stubbs, Fernandes, Carsley, Wessels, AJ etc. Not all the players where important but in Johnson, Stubbs, Fernandes, McFadden and Carsley last season each player played around 11-42 games. That's alot of games and the players last season contributed.
Then you have to look at players like Vaughan, Van der Meyde, Anichebe, Cahill and Hibbert who will also miss the start of the season. We'll have players like Jutikiewicz, Irving and Kissock on the bench the way things are going.
I don't believe we haven't signed anyone because Moyes is looking for a higher quality of player at all to be honest, Moyes isn't stupid and he knows whether there good or average players he needs to get them in fiarly early.
I think people have every right to panick to be honest, we are being [Poor language removed] around, we don't even seem close to signing players and there's only 2 weeks left. It's been a very unorganised and it's very dissapointing.
I hope your right, I do believe we'll get players in eventually but it's a very risky situation and this was no way planned.
One of the few times i disagree with you mate, my faith is unwaivered ive seen so many posts like this borne out of frustration and anxiety, you may say i have blind faith, well if i have to put faith in something it will always be the club and Davey Moyes.
I honestly am not worried in the slightest.![]()

worring times indeed, what happened to the faddy cash or the cash we offered for Ramsey?Chris Bascombe writes for the NOTW, he has alot of connections on Merseyide so there could be some truth in it. He did used to right for the Echo after all and is a Kopite.
