I pulled this off Wikipedia this morning with regards to the Portuguese's website entry, which has been updated to include the Everton rumours..

"It has also been rumoured that he has a black and white tattoo of the Everton Football Club crest on his right arm. When asked about this he replied, in broken English: "it's a true. It is the club of my intention to play for next season and for many year"."

- So,make of that what you will, some times these stories are planted by those devious michevious little scroats from across the park to wind us up. And isn't always the way when we're linked with a player - They've always been a life long fan due to some family heritage.Or is that just every player Liverpool sign?!!

COYB

omg whats next

Just read the papers, looks like he wants out. :D

Still money talks and bullshit walks.

Let's see if the money does the talking.

Paying over the odds is something to think about, because I guess Everton will have to pay what Sporting is asking... If it is over the odds or not, only time will tell.

Toxteth, about Veloso, the price is 30M €. Sporting has already rejected a 15M € plus Tiago from Juventus. ;)

Where do you think Veloso will end up Sotnas? Will he stay at Sporting or move on?

The Blues have been heavily linked with Moutinho ever since the player's displays at Euro 2008.

In recent weeks he has been placed high on the Everton list of wanted players and it was originally believed Everton had gone some way towards negotiating a deal for the playmaker.

Chief Executive at Goodison Park had apparently told Portuguese media that a deal for the player could well be brokered, since then however the player's current club Sporting Lisbon have released a statement saying none of their players will be sold, including their prized duo of Miguel Veloso and Joao Moutinho.

Moutinho has however reacted to these claims by telling A bola, 'I have already expressed my desire to leaders of the exit. Now, I would hope that Sporting and Everton have reached an agreement.'

Everton are expected to make the first move in offering Sporting a financial package to compensate for the player's departure, however any such deal may rest significantly on funds raised from Andrew Johnson's current transfer ordeal.

Every one is reporting the same. Their Cant be so much smoke with out fire. We must closing in on him. An he stated his disire to join the blues!!

Make it happen please.....

Money, mate. It's all about the money. Are they ready to pay 30M€.

I know Wenger wanted CRonaldo but thought that 15M€ was a crazy price at the time he signed for Utd.

True, Arsenal don't like paying big for players.

If Moutinho does leave have they got anyone lined up to replace him? Someone like Andres D'Alessandro maybe? Benfica attracted Aimar so maybe Sporting could get someone like D'Alessandro.

Rochemback.

We already have an argentine, Romagnoli to play as number 10. D'Alessandro just signed for a brasilian club.

Moutinho played most of the times as inner midefielder on the right/left side.

We have it covered already.

But still, Everton haven't shown the money. :P

I do expect us too, we'd be stupid not too considering he's said he wants to join. I'm still not convinced though, this is Everton after all.

Good news that you have it covered, we don't want our feeder club doing poorly.:P

Don't go that road. At the end of the season you'll see us lifting the CL trophy. :P

indeed, good luck with that.

will losing moutinho be a big loss to your season? he is one of the top players in portugal and your captain.

or are sporting fans convincing themselves he was rubbish all along!! lol!

I think I've made clear what I think of the player on a number of occasions. His mentality his great.

He's not as talented as Ronaldo or as Figo, but he is a very good player.

We brought in Rochemback, who will add strength without losing passing ability. He's slower and not as energic. But a good cover up.

Nevertheless, it hasn't happened yet.
