Baxter Ready?

Gotta say on tonight's showing Gosling didn't look great. Plenty of effort but some very poor passing. Baxter was very lively and obviously scored a wonderful goal. Lukas and Agard didn't impress me up front. The number 18 who came on (don't know who it was as there was no PA and didn't recognise him) was pretty awful, 2 or 3 simple passes straight to the opposition and didn't offer much at all. Rodwell again looked very calm and assured though (y)

Amazing how fans see a different game!

#18 was molyneux i believe, and yes he did look way out of his depth. The lad who came on Valente didnt look that good neither

Baines came on for Valente, tried to sneak that one in did you. Good one.

He did nothing wrong really. Nice to have him back. (y)

he's only young, but i think he can put an impression on the club.

all it takes is a goal in the last 5 minutes to bolster his career (rooney v arsenal, vaughan v palace)

Not ready by a country mile. Plays well against seniors, creates goals against seniors, scores goals against seniors. Not a hope.

Or on a realistic note, get the lad playing more.

let's chill out a bit.

This whole thing reminds of the Mickey Branch hype of ten years ago.

He could have been a contender, he could have been somebody.

But ended up like any john doe.

Sometimes pressure can be a little too much to handle.

The kid is only that, a kid.

He should be allowed to grow. Let's not rush the boy or let's not start to ask for more time play for the boy.

If I criticise Moyes for some doubtful handling of transfer affaires, I have to give him credit for the way he brings youngsters to the side.

Let the man do his job and it'll work out fine.

just watched the goal again on everton tv. bloody brilliant.

it did remind me of a rooney goal. he just ran straight at them and scored with a peach of a finish.

happy days!

He's going to America with the lads.....excellent news. With our small squad we need as many players over there as possible.

oh do me a favour, its completely different. Its more close to Rooney than anything else.

Behave yourself ghost. The lad hasn't even got on the bench in a senior game yet. The lad has some talent and MAY go on to better things but to even contemplate never mind actually comparing him to the fat manc is just laughable.

In an ideal world i think he will play some part in the first team this season....however people should not be billing this kid as the 'new rooney' the lad will develop at his own rate and if he continues to progress as he has over the past 1-2 years then we will have another gem on our hands!

good luck jose lad.
