Sorry your not really making a point here. 3 players, WOW.

Plus Arteta came from Sociedad.

I'm not even going to bother answering all these players your gonna say.

The fact is Moyes wants Champions league type players and they will cost around 10 million +.

We all want a top top signing but we can't get these unless the board give us the right money.

ok. arteta, jagielka, yobo, pienaar, lescott, cahill, howard.

in common? they all cost less than 6 million pounds each.

cal, stop sounding like a spoilt brat.

moyes will identify the players he wants and bring them in.

there is no need for you to start threads and start crying because we are not buying 15 million pound plus players.

I know, they were all very good signings.

All i'm saying is that maybe its time to move on from buying players from lower leagues in the hope that they turn into world beaters?

I'm not really talking about players who cost less then 6 million, i'm talking about plucking players from the lower leagues in hope they turn out to be class because of our small budget.

If we really want to challenge the top 4, we need to bring in players that can win a game on their own, like Arteta or Yakubu or Cahill.

These players cost mega bucks now.

Don't forget Neville!

Neville cost less then 6 million aswell :lol:

We need one big signing this summer. We seen with the Yakubu deal that if you pay the money you get the proven player who produces the goods. Yakubu moved us up a level and I'm confident that if Moyes was given 10-15 million to spend on a player he'd spend it well. He's proven himself in the market and it's time to give him what he wants.

The rest of the players we sign can cost anything. 4 million for Carsley's replacement is excellent, 6-8 million for Fernandes in excellent and one or two loans here and there for squad players is good buisness.

We need a player with an ex factor. To many times I've seen alot of our players choke when it comes to the bigger games. We need a player who can take us up another level. Players in the range of Arteta, Lescott and Yakubu.

Why were they good signings?! because we have a bloody good manager thats why!

Money isnt the be all and end all- look at Spurs, Newcastle and Sunderland. They have spent far more money than us but who finished 5th?! Oh yeh we did.

As I said before would much rather Moyes got his £6m and under bargains that turn into good EVerton players than a couple of superstars that [Poor language removed] everything up!

The funny this is, you would swear Portsmouth/Newcastle/Liverpool/Man Utd/Arsenal/Villa etc would have been on spending sprees to prompt some of the whopperish reactions on here.

Some of you need to get a grip and lighten up.

Its getting laughable now, i dont know wheather to laugh or despair at some of the panic and anghst. Theres so much time to sign players, and personaly i want every other club to blow their load before we sign our gems.

The reason 15mill pound players are 15 mill pound players is because everyones knows about them. Even if we had the money why would we blow 15 mill on a player everyone knows and is established when we have a manager who can identfy the next big thing for Peanuts. I wonder do the Arsenal board get as much abuse as ours because they have a manger who can pick up gems.

Nutters!

Cal, I'd really change your stance before you make more of a fool of yourself.

Artera, Yak and Cahill don't win games on their own. They are part of a team, a team that was made up of rejects from other clubs. Players that Moyes has said, yes I can turn them into better players. You don't have to spend £15m on a player to get in the top 4 or to win trophies. Let me prove it.

Arsenal won the league with players like Vieira and Anelka. They cost less than 5m between them.

Man U won the league last time with one player who cost £12m.

A good manager is not the one like Mourinho who spends hundreds of millions on over paid players. It's the man who see's the potential in a player.

What difference does it make if we spend £15m on a player? or £15m on 3?
