Arsenal: £10m for Arteta

1) In today's transfer market, Arteta is EASILY worth 15M. If you don't believe me, then you haven't been paying attention to what has been shelled out for players over the past few years.

2) Panic buy or not, Carrick's 18M will certainly be taken into account. If Arsenal want Arteta bad enough, then they're gonna pay up for him. Simple as that.

3) That said, Mikky isn't leaving Everton.

Maybe more strength to this seeing the Flamini exit. Arteta when fit is a player and a player with flair. Wenger would relish a player of his ability. We would be the big loser even if we did get 15 million for him. I hope this will never be a issue.

Mikel bottles it in big games?! Come off it, Fiorentina was his best performance of the season, in arguably our biggest match.

I think he has been off form at times this season, but that to me doesn't mean he bottles it or isn't interested.

I'm with Nebbs on this one, if Mikel says that he wants to leave, then sure, let him go. But he's never once said that he's unhappy here so I'd be very surprised if he moved.

Follow, follow, follow....

Hmm as this is the 50th Arteta is leaving thread ever i am chooseing to think its a load of crap!

Its only silightly less boring then an A.J. leaving rumour!

That is all!

I'd like to keep Arteta, but he has been effective only a handful of times when he does play. He does seem to be right down in the mouth lately, could be not being picked for Spain, could be homesick, probably his injury and form.
I do believe him when he said he is happy here and his family is settled so we'll see.

He is a gem of a player and should easy commend £15m if someone comes in for him, but I really don't think Moyes has his head screwed on if he sells him, even if Arteta wants to go(or not).

Players of Arteta's quality are the future of our club. If we sell him then we may as well have kept the likes of Steve Watson and Radzinski and been content with yo-yo seasons with top 10 being an achievement.

We need talented players in. At least 5-6 of them. Having Arteta is a nice lure for other skilled players.
Now if we can just clinch UEFA and the Yak can get back on the scoring trail we'd be quite a hot ticket to sign for in this transfer window.

First every player has his price no matter what we think if Dave thinks its a good deal for us then its good bye, that said Dave will know replacing him for £10 mill is not really a possibility so thats the end of that.we are trying to build a squad of quality players so selling our best player(over a few seasons not this one) makes a nonsense of our ambition unless Arteta does a la Rooney and begs Bill to sell him this I can not see unless it was Barca ,

He's having surgery according to Mick Rathbone on his groin and Stomach. I think it just shows how much he wants to be here. He's been playing with pain killers since Christmas and whilst he hasn't hit his capable form he has still contributed. 9/10 assists and 4 goals proves this.

Arsenal wouldn't get him for 10 million. He's worth alot more than that and we could easily demand 15 million for him. I see the likes of Barry, Bentley and Young being branded about for bigger prices than Mikel which puzzles me as Arteta is better than all three in my opinion.

Where trying to build a squad and Arteta is one of our key players and has shown it over the past three years. Hopefully he's back to his best next season.

does he not know you shouldn't eat pasties in the nud, theyre bloody hot straight out of the oven and you could easily end up with a cheesy bell end.
hope he does stay and whilst in spain he manages to talk any future gems into coming to everton, and also visits cambrills to bump into myself and the other members of the reidy clan on holiday.
it'll be the pastry products and chippy's that keep him here, no use going to play for the voyeur it's all kebabs and mushy pea-less chippy's down there.

I'm excited to see how he is after the surgery, and a good pre-season getting back on form.

Especially once he's training with Arshavin and Riquelme at Finch Farm...

This is one of the most ridiculous rumors out there. How gullible do you have to be to believe this stuff?

On a side note if someone were to, in a hypothetical situation, bid £10 million for Arteta, I'd bite their hands off.

Regardless of how gullible anyone is........the fact remains we are in a climate in which any player has a price. ANY PLAYER!

Plus, amongst the hierarchy of our great club if a good offer came in they would consider it.
