Not overlooking it, I just disagree with it. I don't believe that a highly promising manager would rather manage a French Ligue 1 team in the Europa League on half the wage over a mid-table premier league club with aspirations of qualifying for Europe. For example, Glasner, a manager you simultaneously (and paradoxically) claim isn't an upgrade on Moyes and wouldn't touch us with a barge pole, won the Europa League prior to taking the Crystal Palace job. Why would he do that, according to you he should have been lured by the irresistible lure of European football over taking over a bottom half premier league team, and yet he took the job? The PL is a draw for both the money and the standard of the league. Settling for mediocrity results in mediocrity, it's not rocket science.
