2025/26 David Moyes

I don’t understand his attitude in the post match conference with being a little dismissive about Europe. Despite the disappointments lately we are still only three points behind Brentford with the same number of games played and finishing eighth could possibly be enough to qualify?

Because he's a big child with a titty lip on him he has to throw all his toys out of the pram.

It's nowhere near impossible, even though his huge lack of tactical awareness and pathetic substitutions lost us two moe points toward European qualification.

We need shut of this feller ASAP.

We need to bin off Moyes and really show some ambition.
What we really need is a manager with a winning mentality and a record of winning the big trophies to back it up. A manager with a top CV.
Someone who's won the Champions League, the UEFA CUP a couple of times, the UEFA Super CUP,FIFA Club World Cup,the FA Cup. A minimum of one one of the major European League titles and a couple of cups at the very least. Then surely we'll get to the heights of English football 🤔
Welcome Carlo!

I can't see TFG booting him, which means we will be signing new players in the summer with the manager only having one season left. But the real concern, is he does slightly less crap next year, and he ends up having his contract extended by a further two years or something, and we are stuck with Moyes for a further three years from now.

I really don't want Moyes for a further three years; can't handle it!

Or maybe Potter?
What are you blethering on about? Nobody has said anything you just posted apart from the first sentence. I also have no idea why you are bringing Graham Potter (or maybe it's Harry you are talking about) into this as no rational human being has suggested him for over a year.

Once again, you said nobody better than Moyes would come here because they would want European football as a minimum starting point. I said that was nonsense and used the example of Europa League winning manager Oliver Glasner joining bottom half, not in Europe Crystal Palace as evidence that that was nonsense. I'll give you another one since you don't rate Glasner for some reason, Unai Emery, multi-time Europa League winner, joined mid-table Aston Villa (at the time) who were not in Europe when he joined. So, do you want to address that or do you want to make something up about Pep, or Simeone, or Luis Enrique that nobody has said?

If he had any decency and dignity he'd sling his hook after the Spurs game.

At least that way he'd get out with some decent legacy...from those who rate and respect him.

If he doesn't, this is going sideways for him because the impatience is there to get success much more quickly than Moyes' sloth-like timetable for it.

Trying to be a bit positive at the moment, and for me what I wanted was for us to become competitive in each game.

We really have achieved that, we really have.

Its not the end goal, so it not me having no ambition - Just realistic smaller target.

We have been seconds away from beating Man City, and getting a point against RS and West ham - Its very frustrating how it happened, but its the very fine margins at this level.

4 points would put us 6th...we are not far away at all, and have gone toe-2-toe with pretty much everyone, and 1 of these teams plays a CL semi-final tonight.

Its all good for me, we are getting closer.

I fear they’ll just give him another year so he’s got two seasons.

There’s potential in this squad if it was utilised correctly.

However the game ended last night though we could have been a few down in the first half because we looked like a school boy 11.

If an Everton team has a go at the opposition and gets outplayed then I can accept that

This brand of cowardly low to mid block shuffling nonsense, hope to nick a goal, and then when it actually works still find multiple ways to sicken the fanbase by throwing it away is just tiring.

It’s not a normal football experience for fans. No other team does this as regularly as often as predictably.

We could throw 400 mill at the squad in the summer and I’d still expect that we’d miss multiple sitters in big games, concede from almost every worldie against us, have some ridiculous refereeing decisions against us, and end the season just outside Europe, out early of both cups, and not having won a derby or at top grounds.

We need someone who can change the narrative, I fear Moyes will keep entrenching it.

If only mate.

What will probably happen is we get another draw + win and then the season ends without any immediate decision on his future, then a week or so later Moyes is handed an extension of a year on top of his year currently left.

There's no ambition at this club. I'm pretty sure these owners wont intervene other than to keep the plate spinning.

Stuck with Moyes.

Is there someone that we could get who you'd replace him with in the summer, Dave?

I'm not asking that in a way to imply that if you don't have an answer then shut up. I am just curious who people believe would be a good fit for us that we can get.

At the moment we are no more competitive than Dyche's full season effort three seasons ago.

We have 48 points again. That's how competitive we are and we wont be much more competitive than that by the end of the season.

The truth is that no progress has been made with the additional spending of £110M and an extra 12,000 supporters to cheer the team on.

That's called failure, not progress. We've regressed.
