Probably the Moon landings….the Kennedy Assassination was certainly a ‘where were you moment’ because I remember it to this day. I’d have just turned 7 in Nov ‘63 and I was in the entry between behind Lytton St, Everton, where my Mum was talking to a neighbour about it;

Evidently Roger Moore asked the company's to put a stick in a chock ice his favourite - hence the chocolate ice creams on a stick we have today.....
We never got Easter eggs because my dad reckoned they were a rip-off which they were/are.Bunny Money. Is that still a thing these days?
My mam used to give it in place of an Easter egg to the grandkids. Usually saved up 20p pieces in a money bag.
I used to be a teacher at Cardinal Heenan. We used to play staff matches against other schools. We played one game against Calderstones and Vic Christian played for them. He was a brother of three of band members of The Christians.…..remember a staff v pupil game and because I was at LFC they wouldn’t let me play but asked me to referee. One of the teachers slid into a tackle and broke the leg of one of the pupils, remember it well to this day. Match abandoned, just wonder if there’d be law suits these days.
I always wondered how that worked. How did they determine the winner?Remember "spot the ball". My Mom used to give me the job of placing the X's in the picture. Could guarantee someone would ask me something while I was doing it so would lose count and had to start again

He was a psycho. The match was a waste of time because if you got the ball he would just kick you to the floor. If he had the ball his arms would be swinging so you couldn't get near him. An absolute crackpot.
