No, I think he joined us (on loan initially) because he was probably promised he'd play and we would make the team work for him (which we did, hence permanent).Do you think Lukaku joined us because of an ex Wigan manager?
Well why did you suggest otherwise? For what it's worth, under Moyes we signed Yakubu, Johnson and Beattie who were all sought after "flavour of the month" strikers. No, I think he joined us (on loan initially) because he was probably promised he'd play and we would make the team work for him (which we did, hence permanent).
Comparing that to "run the channels and fight for your place" is an interesting thought experiment, I don't know which one he'd pick.
FWIW/on topic, I'm not even super against Moyes, he is what he is, but we're gonna be midtable with him forever. It was somewhat obvious this is what would happen as soon as we were "close to Europe", to be honest, it's prime Moyes time to destroy that, even though it's still redeemable.
I don't have the time or patience for your incessant mini-davek impression here (in fact, it's weird he's not here to lick Martinez' arse, given the topic/thread), sorry mate.
We scored more goals, we conceded less goals, we played better football, none of those join us for Moyes, and even if by some long shot they do - they'd never play. Barkley made 1 mistake and was shipped out on loan the same day so he's in the lower leagues, Deulofeu at the time was 19 so he won't play (and Moyes wouldn't go for him anyway), Lukaku definitely doesn't join as we suit nothing about how he plays with Moyes as he can't get a tune out of forwards like him, Barry maybe joins but he's backup left back obviously, and so on.
I can't wait for the evidence to the contrary to be "but he played Rooney and Vaughan", while we have a 40m player playing once a month for 10 minutes this year, as proof he'd play Deulofeu.
Signed him when he was the 3rd top all time current Premier League goalscorer behind Henry and Shearer by the way.
He signed Chris Wood.strange that the scotch egg yoke has been mentioned, some prime brain washing on show in here.
he was no way near. wasn't Wright third at the time? Yak had played rubbish foreign league and championship before graduating to PL.Signed him when he was the 3rd top all time current Premier League goalscorer behind Henry and Shearer by the way.

Club won't go anywhere with him in charge.
Alternatively,
What do you think we should do? I'm not arsed if we move on from him in the summer (doesn't mean I don't appreciate him either like).
I didn’t want Moyes back as it felt like a regressive step but did think he did well last season & played some decent stuff. Unfortunately he seems to have reverted to type this season.
I particularly don’t like the way some of the more recent acquisitions have been managed.
I’d hope TFG look at who is available & talk to those interested.
Maybe Moyes is the best we can attract at that level but if he stays I wouldn’t expect anything too much different next season.
If TFG are happy to make up the numbers then Moyes can be relied upon to keep us around mid table.
I am hoping they have higher ambitions as the fans deserve better than 30 years without winning anything of note except for the occasional derby.![]()
Think even Freud himself would just call you a basket case with the over dramatic, 5hite, borderline disturbed anecdotes you churn out.Moyes is like a dog who always returns to have a go at his own vomit.
