Another thing to consider on all these ideal managers people want, is do you truly think one of those guys would do remarkably better than Moyes at this moment? It’s a legit question. The squad is what it is and what you have to work with. It’s limited. Starting XI is usually good. Substitutions could be better. We have no depth. We need better talent brought in over the summer. Let Moyes work with that a season or two. We get more wins. Maybe Europe. And then that is where I feel the game has outpaced Moyes. That’s when we’d need someone who can consistently challenge and sustain itself in Europe.

He has to get them back on their feet for the run in now

That’s going to be a demoralising defeat that will stick in the craw

Best way to deal with it is to get them pumped up and back to winning ways against West Ham

Hopefully he has that in him

If he doesn’t then I can see us having a sorry conclusion to the season

The best revenge is going on a run, getting Europe and kicking on

You just know that mentally he sees games and expects outcomes and will never deviate no matter what: Liverpool are at very best two draws per season...more likely two losses.

Arsenal: forget it, ditto City, United and Chelsea.

NO MATTER WHAT.

If anyone wants this feller to stay on here then they sign up to that. And they know it too. They're comfortable with humiliating losses against tripe Liverpool teams as long as were safe.

Unbelievable. I dont count these people as Everton supporters tbh. Everton should be more than this and to accept and DEMAND Moyes stay as manager is a recipe for keeping us bang average at best.
Our fanbase are scarred by the latter Moshiri era Davek. They are just relieved we're not in the relegation battle. I wonder if they actually want us to have ambition to win stuff and play more entertaining football. To me you need to take risks to succeed which is something Moyes will never do and his CV tells you that his limits are for us all to see

It amazes me that people think someone will come in and transform the club. You are absolutely spot on with keeping Moyes and building. When it becomes obvious that the squad is better than the league position then it's time to part ways.

Moyes has us exactly where journalists want us. Not in contention for anything. They’ll pay his head and won’t put any pressure on him whatsoever. Contrast that to how they’re treating Howe.
You are right with treatment of Howe, but any critical coverage of Moyes gets the cold shoulder during the pressers. Needs to change. Other managers are asked about their decisions every minute of the game. Ours get away with trust me.

We're barely better than last season. Could easily end up with 50 points which is only marginal improvement on last year. Several players who have done ok earlier in the season have just went missing, Dibling and Barry have been a disaster.

Don't really blame him for that. It was margins. O'Brien goal stands, Dwight doesn't choke and it is easily the other way around. My biggest gripe with Moyes is he is leaving this push a little late. If we fall short for Europe it would be right to criticize him for sticking with an ineffective style of play for too long. He is trying to play the right way now which is what matters. We definitely look more effective and competitive in creating chances.
