2025/26 David Moyes

Good Journalists ask tough questions and I hope Moyes answers them this time around. A lot of his game management decisions need to be put under scrutiny.

Moyes has us exactly where journalists want us. Not in contention for anything. They’ll pay his head and won’t put any pressure on him whatsoever. Contrast that to how they’re treating Howe.

A better manager and at the very least we don't lose that game, nea. So passive, fresh legs needed in the middle for about half an hour but no change. Branthwaite obviously needed to come off, kept him on and that looks like a torn hamstring.

Genuinely so predictable. Game was there for the taking, he doesn't know how to take authority in games like this. Will never change.

100%

I think Moyes has done a great job at coming in, evening things out and making the squad more united and settling things down a bit after a horrible few years

I think he has to be commended for that and deserves his flowers for it.

But we have had 13 years of Moyes and he really hasn't changed at all, and he certainly won't change.

His biggest problem is he is so safety first that he loses games that we could win, because he can't go for teams throats and he is scared of losing.

He went defensive after we scored, and we went further and further back.

I do want a change because I don't think we will do the things we need to get to the best level with him.

But he will do the same again next season, and probably get beat in these types of matches again, it's crazy to go the same things over again with the same outcome. He has done well, but he can't take that step.
Of course he'll do the same next season. TFG will know that, but they still won't sack him this summer. They knew what they where getting with Moyes. He's not going this summer mate.

He’s miles better than Moyes and it’s an absolute myth that he’s suddenly a bad manager.
Mourinho is finished mate. He needs a chequebook to do anything remotely good. He doesn't play youth (thanks to him we got Lukaku) and he's a very unpleasant guy who'll blame anyone else but himself when it goes tits up

I want a Mourinho type in the summer, or our own version of Simeone. An absolute animal who takes on the entire league and hurls everything at this lot. Moyes has had his chance the last season and a half and apart from a Dewsbury Hall wonder goal against the worst United team in living memory he’s absolutely failed at every opportunity.

Chelsea are terrible, we got bent over and tickled at Stamford Bridge

Liverpool are awful. Easy double over us.

Couldn’t lay a glove on City at the Etihad.

Beaten by Arsenal twice despite both games being there to win.

Beaten 3-0 at home by a Spurs team who could go down. I’d put my mortgage that we won’t win at their stadium on the last day even if they’re already relegated.

Moyes sees a badge and looks for a draw. He’ll never change.

It's Moyes biggest weakness, he never let's the handbrake off even when it's required

You just know that mentally he sees games and expects outcomes and will never deviate no matter what: Liverpool are at very best two draws per season...more likely two losses.

Arsenal: forget it, ditto City, United and Chelsea.

NO MATTER WHAT.

If anyone wants this feller to stay on here then they sign up to that. And they know it too. They're comfortable with humiliating losses against tripe Liverpool teams as long as were safe.

Unbelievable. I dont count these people as Everton supporters tbh. Everton should be more than this and to accept and DEMAND Moyes stay as manager is a recipe for keeping us bang average at best.

He’s an absolute coward. We won’t kick on until he’s moved on. All those home games in the first half of the season when we just set up really negatively and bottled another derby today. He can’t cope when there are raised expectations and an onus on playing on the front foot. Hence having a better away record than our home record.

The Hill Dickinson pitch is too big for his style of football as well.

Why not get after them like we did Chelsea?
