2025/26 David Moyes

That brought back memories of old Moyes, not the good ones either.

If we can still somehow get Europa Conference then i think the season has to be deemed a success, going into the season i really didn't expect us to get into Europe but the away form has kept us in with a shout.

Happy for him to continue on into next season, just please buy well this summer.
Regardless of whether he’s here next year or not, there needs to be far better use of our transfer funds. The likes of Barry, Rohl and Dibling have been a massive waste of limited resources.
Of the team that started today, Dewsbury-Hall was the only one that wasn’t here last season. That isn’t a great reflection of £100m worth of new signings.

A better manager and at the very least we don't lose that game, nea. So passive, fresh legs needed in the middle for about half an hour but no change. Branthwaite obviously needed to come off, kept him on and that looks like a torn hamstring.

Genuinely so predictable. Game was there for the taking, he doesn't know how to take authority in games like this. Will never change.

Top and bottom of it is we're trying to do all of those things against teams who have got so much more money than us.

Forest have won at Anfield, so have Palace, Bournemouth at Arsenal, Sunderland at Chelsea, a terrible Spurs team at City, Leeds at United.

Other teams regularly win at these grounds. For Everton it’s once in a. Decade if we’re lucky. It’s 27 years in front of fans at Anfield. 27 years.

That's me finished going to the pub to watch us against them. What's the point? Just ends in humiliation 9 times out of 10.

The 11 minutes added on to help them was funny like, but we deserved to lose with the direction given by the players to basically allow Liverpool to attack for 25 minutes.

It’s also a common trait that stronger teams tend to win matches.
I would say we were the better team today and on numerous occasions we have been over the years. The problem has been we just don’t have the right mentality and we just literally seem overwhelmed in the moment. It’s definitely something that need to be changed as we move forward.

It got to 1-1 and Moyes accepted the draw. Another manager could have gone for the win. Yeah we might have lost but we also could have won. We end up losing most of the time under Moyes anyway. Happened in his first Anfield derby as well after he returned. We dominated, he sat back, played for 0-0, and they got a late lucky offside goal.

We had momentum going in against one of the worst Liverpool teams for years - a team with zero confidence - in front of home fans who handed them the platform to go and get a win.

This is what Moyes is: a man who cant handle expectation and folds in clutch moments.

He's an average manager who'll keep us safe. If that's your limited ambition for Everton then he's the man you'll want kept as manager. If you want someone who seizes opportunities when they present themselves then get a better manager in.

Simple as that.
I think he’s good not average, and he’s done a good job getting us into a position challenging for Europe after a horrible few years but what he’s not, is the man to build us into winners.

I think he was the right appointment this season and I don’t mind him having another to continue to build a stronger squad but he’s not gonna win us anything and I hope we’re planning to replace.

As many pointed out before the game, we are currently the better side. Liverpool did nothing on the ball the entire second half. If we had just shown some balls and gone for it from the start we would have won.
