2025/26 David Moyes

See, with you, as addicted as you are on Moyes, you also can have a laugh about things..

Moyes is great coach, we can agree on that.

But Moyes didn't make Garner a great player..

Or the likes of "Rice"

I don't want to just single out 1 player like Garner, I just want to see people understanding that talent starts far before a manager pops his head into the picture..

Give Moyes credit
But give Garner the real credit..
Oh yeah, you have to recruit well and have guys with the right personality. Thats why the old Moyes MOT was a good approach.

Mind you, modern pros are maybe the most professional generation yet, though you’ll still get outliers.

I actually think we also need to remember that Alan Irvine is a great coach and plays a massive role in improving players.

Like anything, it’s a team game when it comes to coaching.

Also, if you can’t have a laugh about football then what’s the point? It’s a release for all of us.

Do you admit that would have been a mistake?
I don’t have a time machine, so can’t answer that.

I voted (past tense) for a change this coming summer (in the future). As yet, that can’t be viewed as a mistake or not.

As explained, I’m happy with the job done so far. My concern is that our current position and style of play might be ‘as good as it gets’ under Moyes, and keeping him for another few years might be stunting any potential progress at the time when we are potentially primed to keep moving forward.

Who would you like to take over?

Honestly, I don’t know.
I just hope the people making such decides watch a lot more of World football than I do!

Fair enough.
I read a lot of those posts and apart from Iraola(to easy) there doesnt seem to be a list of potential candidates rolling off the tongue.

TFG are keen on Fabregas by all accounts. Don't see that though myself. Don't really think there is anyone in the PL who Id want tbh.

Better get in there quick cos the way Rosenior is going at Chelsea i can see them looking for a new manager. Fabregas at Chelsea looks a lot more likely than Everton.
Would he even go to either considering Como could be in the CL next year.
