2025/26 David Moyes

Wrong.

There`s a core of coke addled lunatics, who only pop up on match days after a defeat, cheer led by you and your insane agenda, who cry like deranged five year olds and then disappear completely after a win, only to re emerge after the next defeat.

Here are those who wanted him out as of a few weeks ago....

...are they the 'couple of coke addled lunatics' you refer to?

No one mentioned hating him. It was about liking what he's doing here.

5 weeks ago the majority wanted him gone. That's a fact.
I like what he’s doing. It’s far better to be in the top half of the season with 7 games to go than a relegation scrap.

I want him gone in the summer. I don’t believe he has what we need to continue to move forwards.

I expect a number of those who voted for a change this summer might share that sentiment. How many? I have no idea.
But the majority of people wanting a change in the summer doesn’t equate to the majority of people not liking what he has been doing here so far.

OK, I saw something after I posted where you said that he may have had an influence. The post I was responding to had 2 points for the reasons and they were Dyche was not his manager and that he had injury problems previous. The post itself was not giving anything to Moyes, that is what I was responding to.
Those 2 points still stand tho.

He's had 2 spells out with a lower back problem , they held him back a lot.

Dyche ....doesnt need an explanation tbh

And yes he has reached the level he's currently at under Moyes , as ive said so have others.

All 3 are contributing factors seeing Garner flourish as he is now.

Think it's telling that after Saturday ex pros were remarking how we totally outplayed Chelsea and much of the difference between the teams was our blend of youth and experience. And they were highlighting the lack of it throughout the Chelsea side. Think we'd all love a team with an average age of 23 but we don't have the money to or time to buy the promising youngsters and bed them in. It's a results game and as it stands Moyes is getting them. Lose the next 3 on the bounce and obviously the mood of the support base will change. Just bathe in the warmth of a fortnight of positive vibes.😉
Like a few posters on here, I do worry about Moyes being in charge of transfers and building a bit of a Dad's Army squad. However, Chelsea have gone completely the other way with their transfer strategy and that has been terrible for them in a sporting context. From the first minute their young defence (Cucurella excepted) and jittery goalkeeper looked like a liability and we exploited that mercilessly. If Chelsea had an experienced goalkeeper and centre back in that team (e.g. Pickford and Tarkowski) then the shape of the game would have been totally different. They have got their transfer policy wrong, clearly.

I think most posters realise that you need a mix of experienced and young dynamic players in a team to be successful and we are all just arguing about the exact point that balance should be achieved. It's a shame that it is just another front in the Moyes culture wars (I accept that I am guilty of participating in those exact wars before someone points out my hypocrisy) as it's super boring now that literally everything is framed in that light.

This is all that people are looking for.
I never question Moyes other than the odd frustrating decisions he makes.

But people can't give players the credit on here, it has to go straight to the Manager, that's what gets me..

Garner hasn't suddenly been taught how to be a great player, he's been allowed to be that player.

Hats off to Moyes for doing that,
But he didn't create Garner..

If the conversation wasn't always pointed to the manager I wouldn't question the post.

That last line doesn't make much sense to me. If you want him gone how can be doing anything other not what you want to be happening? 🤔

Or, we just say "he's good and Moyes has helped him play better". Like a normal human being.
