I made the example of Soucek mate, Moyes wanted him or McGinn and came home with Rohl mate.

That the point I was trying to make in assent as opposed to calling all the shots - perhaps poorly!
The McGinn one is interesting.

There was derision on here about the possibility of us signing him because he was too old and not good enough.

He has been superb for Villa and makes them tick.

Imagine if he was coming in off the right flank instead of Dibling.

Sometimes football hipsters know sweet FA.

6pts of 4th

with the worse full backs in the league the worse strikers in the league

it’s not that bad is it?

we can’t do or change a thing it’s
TFG
It’s more about the style of football, if you’re going to play this way then you have to get Europe, you can’t finsh 13th playing like this. If he was playing some of the kids and attacking football and you could see something tangible long term, then you can put up with that and understand what the manager/coaches are trying to do

Well he wouldn’t have come, but he’s would have cost 50mil maybe more, that’s not what the owners want to do.

villa wasn’t selling mcginn so that was pie in the sky

and ( supposedly ) west ham knocked back 50 mill

They’d have sold him mate, everyone was for sale at Villa last summer mate - they needed a few bob, Villa quoted silly money, player wasn’t overly keen either but prob would have been pragmatic, ultimately Everton didn’t think it was value or rather didn’t want an older player, on big money on a long contract picked by manager who on a short one - which is the point I’m making on what the manager wanted Vs strategy - ultimately we got Rohl.

You can see how that can lead to confrontations etc. The ones Moyes really wanted and pushed fir are the ones who play Grealish and KDH.

Very frustrating week, but anyone with any true knowledge of football knows it wouldn’t have happened without suspensions, injuries and AFCON. The fact we’re on 29 points in early Jan, first time since Ancelotti’s only full season, and there’s a chuck of online fans that want shut is testament to the job he’s done.

The starting xi and bench was always going to struggle yesterday.

we can’t get europe IE personnel wise

we would have an even bigger build then we do have.

we can all agree disagree etc

i think when we have all fit we are a good side mate

and IF we had the better strikers/ full backs it would improve us no end

most the games we’ve lost as to we can’t score

goals win games mate
