Do you don’t like Grealish and KDH??
Of course I do, tbf its more nuanced than my previous post I'll admit. I have no problem signing players in late 20's if they're that level of quality.

Point is more that for me the recruitment team and Moyes seem to be pulling in two different directions, with Moyes thinking a bit less long term. For me his job was only ever setting up a base for the next manager to come in and develop, and while he's definitely improved us a lot I don't think he's completely stuck to that job description.

Tbh in summer we were in for a lot of good players who knocked us back. Fofana, Kubo, Fort off the top of my head, I look at and go yeah thats the right kind of profile of player.

Obviously didn't get any of those over the line and have gone into this season short all over the pitch, but I think there was an element of us being overambitious when our reputation was in the toilet and that backfiring on us.

We were after enough good players that while I wouldn't let recruitment team off the hook for failing to address some key positions, I would be interested to see what they do the second time around when the club is in a better spot and is a bit more appealing to players.

Moyes on the other hand I just feel like I know the type of signings he wants and it's not what I want to see.
Out of both cups early we may get a downturn in results with it all going a bit flat for the rest of the season and we finish say 12-15th we’re going to be in the same boat trying to attract better players as nothing has changed from last season

Can actually see us finishing the season well with all the players back and plenty of time to prepare between matches. Build momentum into the next season only for it all to flat again in August after a poor transfer window. Heard that one before haven't we?

The decision can be made now or later, because neither option will change the annual result. We won't be battling relegation nor fighting for a place in international competitions. The best course of action is to be reasonable and look for what's best for the future with common sense and a plan.

He down about 20% from September

Doesn't seem like enough to get rid.
It's not. And I can understand why the club will want to hold onto him - especially if we hit top 10 on the last day of the season or before and stays there.

But that's another argument.

I think he will get money but see recruitment being issue and a source of confrontation.

The perfect player for Moyes, is 27-31. For the administration and other members of the recruitment team they are planning for the next five to ten years.

The difficulty is this - Moyes want Soucek, he rings him, says yes I’ll come but want a three year deal on, 100k +. Moyes wants it - he goes to the club and club says no, no resale value and you have an 18 month contract - if we bring another manager in 18 months or less - then they are stuck with 30+ Soucek for a year and half in big money. The club then brings him someone like Rohl - who fit the profile he wants but also the club criteria.

I think that above dynamic comes to a head at some point - I think we see it Rohl, Aznou, Charly, Dibling not getting a lot of mins. While 27-32 year old KDH and Grealish being canonised.

Moyes has assent on all players - that doesn’t necessarily mean they are him top picks.

There are power plays. At some point TFG are going to look at the effectiveness of what was spend on Barry, Dibling, Rohl, Charly and Aznou, either the administration will be held accountable or the manager.

It’s a curious dynamic, Moyes wast the administrations first choice - Graham Potter was, TFG intervened and put Moyes in place, Moyes is very much a TFG man/pick, how that works either way those operationally in the club is curious dynamic and one I see coming to head at some point and as I say - probably due to recruitment.

That’s not very encouraging if the local management wanted Potter & TFG wanted Moyes. It doesn’t bode well for the choice of the next manager whenever that maybe.☹️

Buying a mixture of youth alongside some experience eg KDH seems like a sensible policy but not if the manger won’t develop or play the younger players.

Given that the talk was that Moyes really wanted Dibling I find it really depressing how he has been treated. It appears that something has happened between them & that Moyes has no time for him. Similarly there appears to be an issue with Moyes & Alcarez & Aznou. It doesn’t appear to be a totally happy camp.

Stay for me.

He can’t control AFCON or injuries, both of which we as a fanbase know would occur.

We were never going to go from the prospect of 777 and oblivion straight to CL in this short space of time. Sacking managers left right and centre since his first tenure was part of what got us into a massive pile of poop in the first place.

I think a huge dose of reality would be beneficial to some fan’s heart health at the moment.

We’re on a bad run of form, it happens. It’ll happen again. Get over yourself.

everyone i mean everyone
