Might not of been great tonight lads but at least you didn’t have to listen to Osman on commentary again
He is so so so bad, he misses everything, and seems to not understand the game he played.

They advertise that the family stand is for people with children of a certain age….Got asked to sit down in the lower south last night, which as we know is safe-standing. It was by an old bloke who couldn't stand for long periods, so he couldn't see past me. I reluctantly sat down as I'm not an ars*hole and have elderly relatives myself. I could have easily been very difficult about it all, but it's on the club to sort this.
Now, I don't take issue with the pensioner but I do take issue with the club not advertising that the lower south stand is for standing. I've heard people having issues with people around them at the new stadium and it's my first experience with it, but it's obvious the club have got this so wrong with regards to seating allocation.
Given everything thought the atmosphere was alright last night for a midweek game against a team 12 points adrift at the bottom….Thought there was a bit more of an effort from fans across the stadium to start chants last night.
Still think we need that big moment to lift it. Hopefully a derby win.
I agree with much of what you are saying, but 'blowing it' maybe a bit of a premature over reaction. Like many (all evertonions) I was sad to see us leave goodison, and will forever miss it and its unique character is perhaps irreplaceable. However, the difference between goodison and the new stadium is like night and day, the new stadium is huge and propels us into the modern world. I agree as you enter the stadium there are to many plain walls 5hat need brandingand yes making more Everton. But there was always going to be difficulties , and all the points you make are valid but what I would add is we have to give the club credit for delivering a project of this size so I would hopebthere is enough competence behind the scenes to gradually work out these issues. The infrastructure around the stadium can not be solved overnight or inffact can nit be solved alone and will need the help of the council. The ticketing issues is something that is more fixable and you would hope that there are channels where fans can get these concerns raised with the club. I visited the stadium last night and one up this morning with the same feeling of total awe and amazement at just how dazzling the stadium is, I am bias but I firmly believe its the best stadium in the country. That's a great position to be in and hopefully the atmosphere etc can be addressed as long as people have the desire to improve, and work together, which I am sure there will beYes, I love this stadium and the boost it's handed the club image wise. However, it's leaving a lot of people figuratively (and actually) cold now.
It needs Evertonising, it needs realistic pricing structures,, it needs a ticketing policy that doesn't punish ticket holders and stop them from passing tickets on to mates and family members, it needs to lay off the heavy handed stewarding, it needs better transportation...and that's before you get to needing a winning team.
I feel we have a great opportunity with this place but we're in the process of blowing it.
On the stadium tour, the guide was very keen to make it clear that it's 'rail seating'. He was actively playing down the 'safe standing' part.Got asked to sit down in the lower south last night, which as we know is safe-standing. Banter, is just designed to annoy . To call that stadium a 'shithole' - I am amazed they could sing it with a straight face . People can argue about which stadium in the country is best, but its definitely in the running but what is without question is that There is no stadium in Britain anywhere near like it - itnis staggering - but we have to remain patient and not expect the world overnight. One things for sure, if we ever do build a world class football team again, then we will now have the stadium to matchIt’s not one of them but I do start to feel that they’re right, we’ve sold our soul to finish exactly where we were at Goodison
Going on the tour today, I'll askOn the stadium tour, the guide was very keen to make it clear that it's 'rail seating'. He was actively playing down the 'safe standing' part.
It made very little sense to me, and I'm not sure he represents the official view of the football club. But if you're focusing on the word 'seating' it'd explain why some didn't get the message.
YesWas it worse than what was happening on the pitch though?
The problem with that idea is the amount of games being moved for tv.I wonder if introducing a system where STH's are only allowed to sell a certain number of matches a year would help - it might weed out a lot of the STH's who want to cherry pick the best games to go to whilst selling tickets for the less popular games.
Might get a lot more fans who want to/are able to go to nearly every home game the season tickets they're sitting on a waiting list to get.
I’m in this group. I missed last night’s game and realistically I’m looking at missing some or all of Leeds, Man Utd, Bournemouth and Burnley games because of the switches to week nights and this becomes a problem with work.The problem with that idea is the amount of games being moved for tv.
People buy season tickets intending to go to every game, then more and more get moved to all sorts of silly times and they can't make it.
Not fair to stop someone listing on resale in that scenario.
Only just dawned on me the next 5 home league games are weekday nights.In my view, the issue with tickets;
1. Paid, seasonal membership. It's a barrier. We cant, and shouldn't ignore casual fans;

2. Digital tickets. Another big barrier. This, and the paid membership element has meant I've had empty seats at Hill Dickinson this season - it never happened at Goodison. There would always be someone I could pass a physical ticket. A lot of fans don't know how to pass their ticket on, the gent next to me is an OAP and was asking me how I give my ticket to someone the previous game. He didnt have a clue and I dont think he ever will bother trying to learn it.
3. Well too many late midweek games. The next 5 league games are all Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday night. Nightmare for those travelling in, work, kids.

4. Travel infrastructure. Large proportion of fans are struggling with it. There's some who 'CBA', but plenty, literally struggling to cope with mobility. This has meant a big undercurrent of fans knocking games on the head for the likes of tonight.

Depends how you look at matey. Goodison will never be replicated and always be missed, but I love going to HDS, and seeing it grow and evolve in to a fantastic venue. If you listen to certain posters on here, they want it to fail -sad lives they lead imo-but I love meeting up with my mates and going to the match with them. 50 odd years I went to GP, but lets move on and embrace the change. Fingers crossed the football side of it will improve, and when it does you will enjoy going to our new home. UTFTThink I'm done with BMD already. It's not Goodison, yes I know it's going to be different. But I just don't have that attachment anymore like I did with Goodison. Everything about the place is a chore.
Genuinely don't think I'm going to renew.
