New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

It was about 4,50 at goodison wasn’t it and I’ve no idea where you sat but where I was it was awful . Given the price rises nationally that doesn’t seem like a massive rip off . Obviously for customers where money is scarce , which is most of us these days , I accept it’s a big increase but it’d be around 5.50 at goodison now almost certainly . The food is overpriced but it’s certainly better than the pies or what we called sausage rolls .

I’m not dismissing your concerns because I think theyre valid but purely when you look price rise /increase in quality for me it doesn’t seem gouging .

What i also find interesting is the complaints at the top end . Starting at the dissatisfaction with club view to hospitality , I’ve been lucky enough to get into hospitality and honestly the service and overall product was pretty poor . If the club want to make money this is where they do it and I think they’re letting themselves down .
I understand supply and demand and when it’s a captive market, it’s going to be more expensive than usual. I go to lots of concerts and shows, I know it’ll cost me a little bit more but £6.95 a pint is absolutely outrageous.

My mate got a packet of Salt and Vinegar Walkers yesterday.

£2.50.

£2.50 for a packet of crisps.

It absolutely stinks, and that’s without getting into the rest of the catering costs.

See, you have a point.

Tottenham, Utd, Liverpool all have huge tourist match go-ers who will pay through the nose.

Everton don’t. They’ve misjudged it completely
And yet people are all having a pint and eating when I attend the game, so far they haven’t got it wrong. The only way you get what you want an they lower the price is if your feelings are widespread and so far that isn’t evident.

You think it’s sound for Everton to charge their fans £7 for a sausage roll?

I personally don’t have a problem with it, I accept that it’s the price of becoming commercially competitive. They have to maximise revenue and that is one of the levers they pull.

I have no issue with anyone who doesn’t want to pay the price, and I agree if more people vote with not paying the price then they may look at it. I just don’t see enough people voting that way.

People are more than ok with preferring the old ways, some people don’t like change and that’s fair enough!

How very tory of you.

What a weak and pathetic argument is this about how much money I have and you don’t?? It seems you’re the one who is taking other peoples views personally, just because they don’t align with yours. Maybe you should stop crying and don’t buy a sausage roll!
I never will.

It doesn’t change the fact Everton FC are absolutely pulling the fans undies down by ripping them off. If you’re okay with that, it says more about you.

I don’t care if it’s “the way of the world”

We’re not some tourist club. It shouldn’t sit right with anyone the club are trying to rip off fans. It disgusts me, actually.
I get why a lot of people don't like it, but tbh I want to see us competing and winning trophies and the key factor in making that happen is increasing revenue.

It's obviously not how football should be, but it just is how it is. If you feel you're being ripped off then don't pay, but end of the day money is all going into the club.

Calling people Tory for accepting this reality is a bit odd.

Was great at Goodison when you could get a pie and a pint for something like £7.
