Beer, revisited

Another old fave of mine.

Lovely cold & fresh.
I remember when i lived in Germany in the late 90s, taking the hours drive from Gutersloh to Warstein and went to visit the brewery then sat outside a cafe opposite eating currywurst with a pint of Warsteiner in the sun. Sometimes its the simple pleasures in life you remember the most :D

Lovely cold & fresh.

When my teenage lad first started drinking, he started off on all the usual chemical fizz lagers, like they all do - Carling, Madri, Stella etc.

So I got him a couple of bottles of this, stuck it in the fridge for a few hours, so it was ice cold and then gave him a bottle.

His first reaction was "This isn`t lager, it tastes completely different ", to which I replied " No, this is what lager is really supposed to taste like "

Needless to say, he doesn`t drink chemical fizz lagers anymore ;)

Same with my lad until he was introduced to good quality German lagers .
He loves the stuff ( like me ) now and wont touch the other crap.

Personally, I'm a fan of:

I find that wheat beer is easier on the stomach, and the head.

That looks rich, mate!

I had a few pints of 'cherry ale' a while back. I can't remember the name.
I thought it was lovely going down, but I ended up paying the price later that evening! 😩

It’ll be Kriek.

Rare on draught in the UK, normally sold in small bottles.

Lovely ice cold and the tartness, combined with the sweetness makes it very drinkable.

There’s a strawberry one called Framboise, which is nice too, but a bit too sweet for me.

I think it's the sweetness that does it for me.

Absolutely lovely going down, like eating sweets, lol.

But later on in the evening, my stomach was not a happy camper!

Any one watch Real Ale Craft Beer on YouTube? No idea why I enjoy watching a fella ramble on and drink beer but just found the channel. Its decent info if you wanna know if its worth ordering a beer online as he's done most beers out there after doing it for 15 years.
