I just switch every light in the house off, apart from a table lamp in the back room, that usually does the trick.

Last night grabbed some Brooklyn Black Chocolate Imperial Stout, never had this before but (relatively) cheap and it was nice. Mrs Nigh is making some gumbo tonight so am looking forward to another try.

Had a couple of pints each of Black Sheep and London Pride. Haven't had either in quite a while, and they were both very nice. They were well kept and that's half the battle.
I mentioned to the landlady whether she put on any local beers. She said she'd love to but unfortunately the brewery won't allow it ; tied houses should be consigned to the dustbin of history.
