People cry for project signings...."like brighton"....yet cry when we actually do it !?!

or do they now really know what "projects" actually means !?!
I think the club tried for
Ready made players, but still young like delap, woltemade, the winger who went to juventus.
Unfortunately it was what it was this summer, could have been better , I think next summer will be. I’d rather sign some young players as 2nd choices, than signing players who’re 27/28 yr olds that aren’t good enough and you end up stuck with them, that happened ln the past

Just a reminder that over 500 people voted 8 or above.

Probably due to how good Grealish was at the start. And the hype with his signing in the first place which understandably excited so many given how dire it has been last few years.

Said elsewhere it was a 6/10 window. Grealish excellent, KDH decent against bottom half teams (today showed he's not a top level midfielder) and getting Alcaraz for 12m or so was a steal....shame Moyes isn't interested in starting him. Barry and Dibling are long term projects that will hopefully look much better in 12 months.

The big issue was yet another window where RB was fudged. Bizarre. With Branthy out for a while yet the club are down to 3 senior CBs and they're all currently starting. An injury or two to Myko and Keane and there will be some makeshifts back 4s put out in next few months and that is a big worry as will be mostly playing top half in that time.

It's a bit like RS maxing out on the attacking credit card and forgetting to sign Guehi and now they are being exposed at the back on a weekly basis. With the lack of goals from the CFs you don't want to be conceding 2s and 3s on regular basis as will barely win a game doing that.

Another dreadful transfer window that has stopped our chances of progressing this season.

Astonishing to spend that much money and still have no pace in the team. Lots of money spent on attackers but still no goalscorer. Huge needs at full.back but no improvements. Even more bizarre that the first thing we tried to do was sign Tete from Fulham then apparently just gave up on that position.

Signing Grealish is fine but Dibling and Grealish in the same window makes not a lot of sense.

And what do we even say about the centre forward position. I have no idea what our recruitment team are trying to do at that position.

The squad has no goals and no pace. That means it's not fit for purpose. I think we will unfortunately look back on this as another window like under Koeman.

Is Tete even playing much for Fulham currently? Have to go in for an experience player of his profile in January.

I think Dibling is insurance as it will cost a huge amount of next year's budget to get Grealish here full time so hopefully he looks better in second half of the season.

I don’t think there was any strategy to Dibling tbh. It’s like we had a list of 7 or 8 completely different types of winger, and signed the first one that said yes.

The sort of thing that the likes of Bournemouth don’t do.
