2025/26 Thierno Barry

His birthday today, 23 so no baby, honestly thought he was about 19 the way some people speak about him
The "kid" has over 120 senior professional games under his belt, yet doesn't even look like he's seen a football before let alone ever played the game.

Compare that to a teenage Chermiti who arrived with about 20-odd games to his name and there's really not much difference on the pitch. If anything, I'd say Chermiti probably showed a bit more than Barry has so far. Hugely underwhelming so far.

The only time any striker has looked ok or decent in the last 12 months has been with a "10" closer to him....Doucs and Alcaraz play closer to the striker.

KDH plays more like an 8...and is often 5/10 yards deeper than Alcaraz would be.

So I would like to see the 10, whoever it is, play closer to the striker, I beleive we will see the form start to change that way.
Tend to agree with this. I like KDH, think he's a good player but he describes himself as an 8 and that's what it looks like when he plays 10. We look better with Alcaraz playing behind the striker imo.

When are we allowed to start evaluating a players performance? Are you saying he’s played better than Beto so far?
Evaluating a player's performances and evaluating the overall quality of a player based on those performances are two very different things to be fair. You need a much bigger sample size for the latter.

Any fluent spanish posters on here, maybe pop on the Villareal forum and see their take on him.

when he first signed i saw an interview somewhere with a Villareal fan, and a lot of what he was saying seemed like they thought he was funny to watch, the matey brought up how they would laugh at the strange way he runs..

Strange interview from what I saw and didn't leave to much to take from it..

Never seen the lad play or even heard of him before we got linked.
