Moyes Signs

I wasnt fussed about the contract to be honest, contract mean F all these days, once Moyes gave his commitment i had a fair idea hed sign. Instead of becoming frustrated with his lack of signing i tried to look at the reasons why, i think this new deal will compleately change his security within the club in the sense that i beleive negotions could have been around conditions of release which were not in previous contracts. What else could it have been?

Can't really argue with much he has said. Would like to think he is saying it to force a bit more cash out of the board. If that's the case I hope he is successful.

would be nice 10 million , but looking at the age of the squad we need a bit of fresh blood so i cant see us not trading

Agreed.

But just imagine if we could keep the core of the team we have now, but sold Baines and were given £10m on top.

You'd be looking at £25m+ to put straight back into the squad. It's so frustrating when you think we're only a player sale + some cash on top away from really competing for the top 5.

yeah his tracks are ****

As said... By hook or crook get the guy 10M whilst keeping are core players and we'd be right up there next year.

Sell Vic Mucha and finally yobo. Would think that would bring in 5M. Stump up another 5M let him keep the rest of squad and spend 10M on pienaar and a RW. Then use the loan/free Market to add squad players.

don't know where 10mil is coming from gotta find some for stevie.p first too we can't sell baines i'm not even entertaining the idea, mind you i said that about rooney to my utd friend, ' he'l never leave, not happening' i said well we know what did happen don't we,

ffs baines ffs why oh why are you potentially breaking my heart

*sobs

That feller's a complete and utter phony just like Kenwright. He's *ambitious* for Everton to fullfill the dreams of its supporters...and then he signals that he 'doesn't need much money' to do that, and that £5M will probably be ok every now and again (if the recipient of the Howard Kendall Award 2012 can manage to swing it that is).

Moyes is part of the problem now. An arse-licker who's settled for his £3M wages (soon to be £3-4M) and only too happy to jump in and protect that asset by offering his undying support for his paymaster Kenwright.

10 years you've had now ginger bollocks. Time for you to frig off lad, because you're beginning to smell.

thing is, at the moment theres no clubs he could go to with more ambition, all the club above us are set with their managers for a few years yet, spurs was the only possible option until redknapp didnt get the england job, the other option would be abroad, but i cant see him doing that...or waiting for the utd job(still cant see that happening) hes stuck here now and he knows it

No club *bigger* than Everton will touch a manager who's shit in Europe mate.

Moyes is essentially a number two who's been given a long time to assemble a squad of journeymen players who he can lay down the law to and dismiss or ignore any talent that comes through the door who wont conform and who he cant reach or get the best out of as a man-manager. They aren't the attributes of a manager plying their trade at an elite club. Maybe he could go to Germany or Holland or somewhere and get a job at a middle ranking club. But he wouldn't get the elite club manager wages he's on at Everton, so I couldn't envisage that either.

so when you say he has no ambition do you mean he needs to rock the boat a bit more with the board? cos it seems he doesnt have the option of another club...
