Moyes signs new Everton deal
Goodison boss puts pen to paper on five-year contract

Everton manager David Moyes has signed a new five-year contract at Goodison Park, Sky Sports News understands.
Moyes has been in talks with the club over an extension for some time but he has finally put pen to paper on a new deal.
The Scot, who took charge on Merseyside in March 2002, had admitted that the uncertainty over his future was affecting his side's start to the season.
Everton, who finished fifth last term, are still to win at home this season and are currently 15th in the Premier League table.
Moyes' men also crashed out of the Uefa Cup before the group stage after losing out to Belgian outfit Standard Liege over two legs.
The former Preston boss revealed at the weekend that an inspirational speech from Sir Bobby Robson persuaded him not to call time on his career with the Toffees.
Having now committed his long-term future to Everton his first challenge will be to guide the club back up the table, starting with Saturday's testing trip to Arsenal.

He'll sign. But that's not the issue. I'd like to know why he is signing now.
If it's because he's heard investment is on its way imminently (ie for him to spend in January) then fair enough. But if he's signing up for the usual begging bowl, hand to mouth existence - and all the timing has ever been about is how much he gets - then Moyes is bankrupt as a manager with any crediblity as far as I'm concerned.
Let's hope it's the former.

Hopefully this will reinvigorate him and we can expect form to improve from here on. I'm not expecting anything from the next two games. But after that ...
Still think he's partly to blame for exiting the UEFA cup and our shocking summer in the market. But like Bill says, time to move on get behind all of team.
