It wasn't meant as a direct comparison to Fat Dog mate. Just that those bands are similar in that they are something different to the usual stuff getting banged out in large quantities at the moment. If you get a chance listen to their second album, 3D Country. I prefer it plus it's an easier listen and that one did remind me a lot of Radiohead. As regards the Australian band, it could be Psychedelic Porn Crumpets. Or maybe Tame Impala or King Gizard who both seem to reinvent themselves every time they release an album.

Did you get around to giving Cliffords a listen mate. They only have a handful of songs out but they are all very good. They remind me very much of Nieve Ella {who I love} but with an Irish accent. Just listening to the Sprints new album and quite enjoying it. It's a lot more varied than the first album which was straight up punk and I get a bit bored with that after a while.

On a different note I'm enjoying House of Guinness. I'm particularly liking that a scouser is playing one of the prominent parts and that it appears to be filmed almost exclusively in our beautiful city. Liverpool getting payback in advance for the new Beatles film. Plus I think they should have had a disclaimer for the bath scene in episode 3 just in case the ladies think that's normal. :blush:

I will delve into Geese because they have sparked my curiosity now. Re The Clifford’s, have given them a good go and enjoying them. RTE are giving them a little traction now too.

Hello all. Greetings from Kalymnos. We've been here 3 days in some lovely apartments owned by a lady called Norma who is probably older than me, has 80s big hair and some startling eyeliner choices.
Today we went to see a temple dedicated to Apollo - which was up a huge hill. Obviously the Sun God would pick his temple to be on high ground so he can be nearer home! The site also has early Christian development on it. We couldn't get in but took some pics from outside. If you like old rocks - here's a few pics.
Also,I never felt more like singing the blues....Go Jack!!!

Morning all, just a quick note to let you all know everything is fine at home. I hadn’t slept in weeks waiting to change Kay which meant I was counting down the half hours before getting up to sort her out. I didn’t realise just how tired I really was. Fortunately I couldn’t hide it from my son and he took over the early morning duties before getting ready to get off to work. He’s been doing it for a week now and I’ve been catching up on my sleep at night and also dozing in the late afternoons. I’m feeling so much better as a result.

Anyway, this is just a quick update before I try and catch up on posts. Thanks all for the mentions and a special thank you to Blue for his p.m’s, much appreciated. I only posted now to beat Blue

…I’m off to sleep again now so until much later today, have a great day and enjoy the win…………
