Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

@Barnfred 55 TLDP are on Radio 1 Live Lounge next Monday. It’s normally on at midday.
Cheers mate. The question of what cover they are going to play has been a topic of conversation for a week or so now. My guess is something by Pulp but I'd love them to tackle Heroes. I know Emily has been studying Robert Fripp.

They're also on Jools Holland the night before.

I would be confident it will be a song currently in the charts or recently was at least.

They've done quite a few covers in the past, nearly all from the 70s/80s. The one exception was Troye Sivan which, funnily enough, was the last time they were on Live Lounge when their first album dropped. Maybe they stipulate that it needs to be current song they cover which would explain the strange choice of song. They actually made a half hearted effort at making it into a decent song.šŸ˜€

While I don’t think it’s ever stated, I’m pretty sure it’s always a current song. My money is on Mangetout by Wet Leg.

Good morning all on this dull one here ,So glad all is well with Pete ,I am so happy to see him post and it is just fatigue .How is keeps going with all the other bad news he gets from the pub side I will never know . I hope all the rest are fit and well and basking in the glory from Sunday's win . I didn't post yesterday as I am far too busy !!!
The cheese and olive loaf could mean the end of a fine relationship ,Mikko 1 took it to Mikko2 for them to try ,Mikko2 is the boss and he ate the lot before hometime leaving ne'er a morsel for Mikko1 much to his consternation . So to pacify him I offered the recipe .
To the match ,well if you watch the highlights it seems to me to give a distorted view in favour of us but for me Moyes hasn't a clue with his best line up .The starting setup was all wrong which was proven by the second half ,for me that was a fluke of a win and covers the faults we have .I was though delighted to see that they didn't play the same old pass it to Jack and Illi to go to the corner flag to turn back and slow to a halt any advantage our " break " might have offered . How much did Carlos change the whole thing ? I have not been imressed since he signed permanently but Sunday he shone and I think he must stay in that position ,a mention to Jimmy again and Tim for solid performances .
Jimmy must be the last name on the sheet as he fills any gap Moyes asks . Have a great day all .COYB

Green shoots abound on the field and maybe it’s not a bad thing not to have an easily picked starting 11 now. The obvious weaknesses aside, I’m comfortable that we have made decent strides to end all fears of the drop and just let us have a year to enjoy.

@jazzy , the football gods have fallen in to place so I’ve just got a ticket for Suzanne Vega , it’ll be my fourth time seeing her and coincidentally the fourth time for the support artist Katherine Priddy. If you’re tempted to listen to her she’s far better live than recorded, in my opinion obviously, she tends to throw the kitchen sink at recording but live it’s usually just her and another guitarist.

Got tickets for me and Mrs J ages ago and can't wait to see her at the Phil. I think she's playing with just a guitarist and cellist so as well as stuff from her new album ( which I think is one of her most diverse since 99.9°F ) I'm expecting/ hoping for plenty of early stuff.

Good morning all on this fine day ,I hope all are well and had a good night . I am not saying the comfort of the top half is in any way bad AT ,it is just that he keeps picking sides that are "not up for it " tactically and in spirit ,which can happen occassionally but then brings on subs that make a difference .I don't see the two things related in any way ,we can hope for the top but in order to make that happen pick a tactically astute side not just the same old 11 if they are fit . He seems to have a gamut of midfielders that can cover many different opposing teams formations ,my question is why does he get it wrong first half -so many times ?Why is he afraid of teams above us ?
Have a great day all ,COYB.
