ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

So did Taylor Swift, last year at her show at Analfield, but that's fine, since I couldn't give a granny's twaddle about her, or her music.

And unless your daughter is a 'Swiftie', the only other reason that I can think for a fully grown man to attend a Taylor Swift concert all by himself would be to... Well, you know.
So if the majority of the audience there were lads let out of their basements by their mars for 'good behaviour', then I guess she was playing to her target demographic. 🤷‍♂️

Erased from history by the RS media spin doctors, mate.
Like the fate of the Ninth Legion. They disappeared from the Roman army, and the records show that their last known presence was in Northern Britain.
Then after that, poof!, the records of their ultimate demise simply vanished from Ancient Rome's history books, so nobody knows for sure what happened to them.

The most obvious theory is that they got their arses handed to them on an attempted military campaign into Northern Britain, so rather than looking like the 'Mighty' Roman Empire got pwned like a bunch of little b.tches, they decided it was just easier to erase the legion's fate from the history books.

Apologies about the history lesson, mate 😂... But that's just the most applicable analogy that I could think of, as it's proper kopite behaviour if I ever saw it.

And just like that... It never happened. 🙄
It was Chelsea

Well I'll once again relate the story of a couple of years ago when I had a contractor in my house carrying out repairs. I'm relocated to Yorkshire and he picked up on my accent and made the assumption I was a RS. I'm a massive red as well he said and I corrected him and told him I was a Bluenose. Long story short but when I mentioned Heysel his expression told me he didn't have a clue what I was on about. So I for one, genuinely believe there are those who walk amongst us not knowing what happened.
Heysel and Kopites

Speaking of Heysel, further evidence of how it's been whitewashed from history is their use of the 'bitters' tag. That's where it stemmed from, yes we were bitter at how events affected us; why shouldn't we have been?. It's taken on a life of it's own now though, you literally can't say anything to them now without them resorting to that 'insult.' I was called bitter recently because I said Van Dijk wouldn't be in my top three premier league CB's of all time. Yeah, dead bitter mate, might as well have said he wasn't in my top 50 for the sheer outrage it caused. Weapons.

It's a bizarre insult that stems from the fact, they aren't proper fans and are incapable of engaging in banter. Arsenal fans and Spurs fans constantly mock each other, same with other clubs. It's just RS can't stand being disliked or criticized. Tragedy chanting is an example, it seems that it has entirely applied to chants against RS. Before derby at GP, police were entirely focused on our fans, no interest or mention of them chanting Steaua Bucharest or waving Steaua Bucharest flags. Bitterness to them is just, not receiving adulation they feel they deserve. They're only clubs whose fans bad behaviour is blamed on everyone else except their fans. See Athens, Heysel, Paris and Micheal Shields. Had Micheal Shields supported anyone else, he would of been viewed as guilty. If he was innocent then why didn't all his fellow "decent reds" tell police who it was. If you don't subscribe to view that Liberpool are best club in der werld, then your a bitter. They are a cult, see that baldy bellend bouncing from side to side at "boss event". At any other club he'd be viewed as a helmet, but it's acceptable to act like a noncey weirdo amongst them.

oh I tell them why I'm bitter, I admit I'm bitter, I also reel off other injustices. It is no surprise we are bitter.

I'd still rather be us than them

Yes, but to be honest I'm more bitter because of the shame they bring on our great City.
Obviously Heysel was the worst thing ever, and as if that wasn't shameful enough you had fantascruff, wankbudder, robbing each others tickets, thousands of them in Paris without tickets and when the police nip the fist sniff of trouble in the bud they end up getting the blame, and the mutants get compensation.
UEFA naming them the worst fans in Europe, this Scouse not English crap, Michael Shields attempted murder, but he was in bed.
That's just a few off the top of my head, I know there's lots more.

Let’s be honest, he’s not really in anyone’s who isn’t a Liverpool fan or a pundit on Sky or March of the day.

He’s never anywhere near the actual danger when they do concede. Allison has to deal with about 3 one on ones every game. He gets shown up the biggest games vs Real Madrid which they’ve routinely lost. At one point he was being called Van Disney because his form was so poor as he oscillated between ‘best player ever’ and ‘tries to defend with his aura as he turns his back on every shot’.

He’s had about three good seasons since he’s been there in 18/19, 19/20, and last season. The rest he’s been fairly average.

The top tier for me is Stam, Terry, Ferdinand. Kompany. He’s not in that for me, the rung below alongside the likes of Carvalho Dias Vidic etc. He’s certainly not anywhere near the levels of someone like Ramos, Puyol or Pique or the top Italian CBs like Maldini Nesta Cannavaro Chiellini Bonnuci etc. Just hasn’t done anything at international level and hasn’t been consistent enough at club level. He’s good on the ball but I don’t think the real top defenders would even recognise him as being part of their club, he usually leaves most of the real dirty defending to his CB partner. Konate and Matip before him have propped him up and the minority of Liverpool fans who know anything about football begrudgingly admit this.

Had this debate in work about how good he is. I've seen him turned inside out by Ollie Watkins, terrified of DCL and Beto ran him ragged in the last 2 derbies.
No world class defender has that done to them by absolutely bang average strikers.

Complete myth of a defender.

If he was refereed fairly he’d get sent off about 4 times a season, he’s so often caught in the wrong position and either trips from behind or just smashes the player in the face. None of which is ever punished. Top defenders don’t even give you a sniff. If he didn’t have Allison behind him he’d get shown up almost every game. Can spray decent diagonal ball and celebrates dead hard when he dinks a header in. That’s about it.
