ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

no mention of Chelsea or the cops there Dave
Funnily enough, there was a move this time around to disavow previous claims along the lines of "it wuz the NF / Chelsea". The penny finally dropped that it never worked as a viable excuse and just made them look stupid. Now the strategy is to half hold their hand up for it but then follow it quickly with a disclaimer the length of a dissertation that piles the context on.

Let's see what they come up with at the end of the summer with their new Heysel memorial. Leaving all the tribalism between us and them aside for a second, it's the memory of people killed at a football game to be considered here, so I'd expect it to be impressive in scale and in a prominent and accessible space.

Oh my God.....that can't be genuine....surely that's gotta be intentional click bait....

Saying that there's plenty of this generation who don't even know who was involved in ww2
Well I'll once again relate the story of a couple of years ago when I had a contractor in my house carrying out repairs. I'm relocated to Yorkshire and he picked up on my accent and made the assumption I was a RS. I'm a massive red as well he said and I corrected him and told him I was a Bluenose. Long story short but when I mentioned Heysel his expression told me he didn't have a clue what I was on about. So I for one, genuinely believe there are those who walk amongst us not knowing what happened.

Paul McCartney playing at anfield with Springsteen tonight.
The kopite rat !
That's twice he's played there now but I don't think kopites should be taking this as a 'win' in their childish RS way...

He is and never was interested in football - some of our fans should take note of this as well. Even in this football mad city we all know people who don't care about either team or have an aunt who want 'both teams to do well'.

Tonight it was all about supporting his mate Bruce Springsteen, last time he performed there it was for the Capital of Culture.

I think we could of had him a Goodison if our new owners had tried harder. Obviously getting an ex member of Coral saved them putting their hands in their pockets.
Take note 🤔
Well I ain't going to be popular with my comment I know , I think people must have been caught up in the magic of seeing an icon on stage and I know he's 83 but .......
he sounded dreadful .
I'm glad he didn't make an appearance at Goodison .

Clapton sang it last year I think the little rat.
So did Taylor Swift, last year at her show at Analfield, but that's fine, since I couldn't give a granny's twaddle about her, or her music.

And unless your daughter is a 'Swiftie', the only other reason that I can think for a fully grown man to attend a Taylor Swift concert all by himself would be to... Well, you know.
So if the majority of the audience there were lads let out of their basements by their mars for 'good behaviour', then I guess she was playing to her target demographic. 🤷‍♂️

Erased from history by the RS media spin doctors, mate.
Like the fate of the Ninth Legion. They disappeared from the Roman army, and the records show that their last known presence was in Northern Britain.
Then after that, poof!, the records of their ultimate demise simply vanished from Ancient Rome's history books, so nobody knows for sure what happened to them.

The most obvious theory is that they got their arses handed to them on an attempted military campaign into Northern Britain, so rather than looking like the 'Mighty' Roman Empire got pwned like a bunch of little b.tches, they decided it was just easier to erase the legion's fate from the history books.

Apologies about the history lesson, mate 😂... But that's just the most applicable analogy that I could think of, as it's proper kopite behaviour if I ever saw it.
Swept Under The Rug.gif
And just like that... It never happened. 🙄

This happened to me a few years ago, a 'young lad' late teen early 20s maybe, asked me why we are so bitter against them. I gave him a history lesson and he really didnt have a clue abt Heysel.
