Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I'd be utterly amazed if we spent £200m+ before sales this summer.
I think I'd be genuinely disappointed if we were to spend that kind of money.
The club may be over the worst off our financial nightmare but the last thing the new owners want to do is over spend and under perform again. Too many seasons of that is what got us in this mess.
I'd rather see the club spend well within their means. Prove any future transfer policy is working on the pitch and grow the team slowly.

I just read on the beeb that they're expecting us to have a budget within a region of £50-100m. Seems quite low given the task?

Explains why we're so keen on re-signing Keane and co.
Would be in line with what I was expecting to be honest, hoping more towards the £100m side. I think we'll have one "marquee" signing and then it'll be a hunt for players that we can improve for what is now a middling fee (10-20m).

Do think a few loans or frees will have for be considered I wouldn't be put off with players like Coufal coming in, or if we went back in for Lindstrom on loan again.

Ultimately though, we're going to need to find a few more players like Ndaiye and O'brien to bring in across the squad, for where we're at it's crucial we get them right if we want to succeed

Ideally, because of our position in the league and assuming we give out the old 5 year contracts, we can sign around five 20mil players this summer. Or a couple more if they are free. So 100mil in transfer kitty sounds about right.

Just has to be £100m in paymebts thsi summer doesn’t it? When amortised that would be a big budget.

Having spent a lot on Alcaraz. How much money have we actually got left now for other positions? Will it be a case that we will have to sell to buy? Especially considering we aren't getting a fee for the players leaving such as Doucs and Gueye
Not really alot
